"What, you don't like funky?" Moni pulled the cookies out of the oven. "Funky's not necessarily a bad thing. Just different."

Moni took a bite of cookie, nodding to herself. "I'd say it's good funky. Here, try one." She held out the pan of cookies. "They're a little hot still, so be careful."

Fuzzy took one, sniffing it. She blinked, then placed the entire thing in her mouth. "Hm. Definitely... funky. That seems like the only adequate word to describe it."

Sequence sat there, listening and crying softly. Everyone was there too, listening silently with a blank look on their face. Cardinal wondered who all these people were. He only knew Sequence. The rest were all new to him.

He paused. "Why are we making cookies?"

"Cooking helps me relax." Moni pulled a steak out of the oven. "Huh. It seems to work better for meat. I guess that makes sense."

The Quarkbeast sniffed the side of the oven. It smelled good.

Moni popped a piece of steel into the oven.

"You can also steam and smoke food above the dragon's nostrils. The stove is just above the oven so it has less heat." Wizard pulls out some perfectly cooked fish and leaves the burnt meat in the oven for the oven to eat.

Moni took the now molten steel out of the oven to coat it in zinc, then put it back in. "Interesting. I'll have to try that."

"Yes, Darkstalker here makes a great oven, and it also serves as his punishment."

"Wait, punishment? What's he being punished for?"

"Trying to enslave all dragonkind to name the least of his crimes."

"And you just use him as an oven?" Moni pulled the galvanized steel out of the oven and put it on the counter to cool. "Narrators are weird."

"Wait, Darkstalker?!"

"It's better than his original fate and he has become like a good friend though it took him a couple Eons to get over his tendencies and he can now roam a little ways around the house."

Bookwyrm pulled up a chair and pulled out a book.

"As long as we're taking a break from crazy plots and randomness, I might as well read a little," he explained.
