Schrodinger sighed, stole back his summonable biplane from Reg, and jumped out of the hot air balloon and into the biplane to go look for Melody and Y.

”Improvise!” he yelled back in response.

It said:(just a recap) "If you want your friend back, come to the grocery store by tomorrow at noon. Take longer, and she will be past saving."

I'm thinking Y has I with her, who has illusion powers(including illusory sound), and fakes Melody because they can't just hand her over just in case it's a trap for them. Obviously, they're setting up a trap for X and crew, but will you take the risk? I'm going to tie fake Melody to a tree next to Y.

Ooh, what if I can only disguise herself and can't create independent illusions? Then she could pretend to be Melody.

@xinoehp512, what are Y's plans for Melody? I can't think of anything better than this.

So she's using Melody to draw X in? That's what I was assuming, and that works. Just thinking, it's good that she didn't grab Song instead, they look identical.

"What? What does it say?" Song asks eagerly. "Can we get her back?"

So, how does one go about taking powers? What does it require?

So, I'm thinking I is disguised as Melody just in case the ambush fails, so she can do whatever to X while he's sleeping if it comes to that, but they also have an ambush set up. Maybe they don't have an ambush though because of the way you take someone's powers. Not sure.

Also, I've been ninja'd like 6 times.
