I really don't know who to vote for. I don't want to risk a tied lynch though, so I will vote for Jondesu. If a better lynch candidate shows up in the next ten minutes, I could switch my vote.

Hmmm... I'm for an Eternum lynch, as he does look to be the most likely candidate for Ruin (he's been active enough to send in actions, which only really how active you need to be).

I applaud both of your willingness ot break ties; however, as you have done so at the same time, we remain tied.

I think it's now 4 votes for Eternum, 3 votes for Jondesu, and 3 votes for Ripple. Would you like to place a vote?

You may have missed my vote on Jondesu. It was a while ago. If my reckoning is accurate it's 4-4.

EDIT: Also @Young Bard I'm pretty sure it was I who put forward the theory you are refering to. The writeup implies that Ruin is corrupted, but I'm not sure how reliable the writeup information is, and I'm not sure if corrupted Ruin would want to blow up Silverlight.

Hmmmm...

Gah, I also have no idea if HH is having one of his Aspects vote with him today as well, which changes whether I should switch my vote or not. Does anyone remember?

HH can't vote with an aspect if he wants to make a new one today.

Pyromancer retracted his vote on Jondesu. The three votes on him are me, Drake, and Fifth.

Right. So I guess that means Eternum will be lynched.

EDIT: Ninja'd and nevermind.

Silverlight Heavily Damaged by Shardic Attack

By Mithra Helin

Updated 12:46 AM

The shard attack has so far killed at least 104 people who either died in the initial blast, were crushed by buildings, or died of later injuries -- a surprisingly low toll that experts say reflects swift action by first responders and volunteers.

There was also luck: two minutes before the attack, 911 operator Llyra Henaira  received an anonymous call warning that Ruin would attack Silverlight. Authorities are still trying to trace the source of this call.

“We don’t know where it came from,” said Sabid B’dun, Chancellor of the Silverlight Associated Regions. “At the moment we suspect terrorist action.”

Updated 1:23 AM

The death toll is now at 396 people.

The epicenter appears to be in Arastaderin Park, which is completely burned. Buildings within 0.5 km of the blast zone were vaporized. SilverPoly University suffered major damage to its classrooms and library. It will be closed until further notice.

Updated 1:49 AM

Sabid B’dun has declared martial law and a state of emergency. All residents of Silverlight are to report to the city hall at 3984 Finch Avenue.

------------------------

Two police officers in tactical gear barged into the still-smoking dorm room, guns held in front of them.

“Is your name Quintus?” the tall one asked gruffly.

“Yeah,” Quintus said. “What’s this about?”

“Silverlight police,” the stout one said, flashing a badge. “You’re under arrest for suspicion of a Shard-based terrorist attack.”

Shock spilled across Quintus’s face. “What? How? I haven’t done anything,” he said.

“Martial law,” said the tall one.

“Sorry, this is as much for your own protection as anyone else,” said the stout one. “Someone leaked your name and if we don’t act now a mob will probably come for your head. If you cooperate, this’ll be much easier for you.”

Quintus looked between their twin MP5 submachine guns and sighed. He raised his hands over his head. “Do I even have a choice?”

You should definitely find one of Rae's random posts and upvote it...

It was indeed a masterful writeup. Rae has been doing a great job this game.

This writeup feels oddly symbolic of the last few months of my life, though. Mandatory evacuation order from college campus due to various natural disasters a total of five times in the last couple months, and now in a game of SE I'm getting evacuated from SilverPoly following an attack by Ruin <_<

(thankfully though, not quite on the same order as an attack by the shard of Ruin :P)

Anyways, if not Jondesu, then I'll need to do more analysis.

Also I'm not sure how I feel about @Hemalurgic Headshot making another aspect. They effectively have four votes now... And after creating three aspects and using them, I highly doubt that they are not converted to Autonomy's shardic win condition.

Sart, Arinian, Hemalurgic Headshot and Myself are on Taldain. (And Trell) since I am tho only possible Ruin on Taldain, I expect that Roshar will be destroyed tonight. Can we get a list of who is on Roshar now?

HH was last online 2 hours before the writeup, but none of his aspects voted. The player he voted on didn't even get lynched. So far, i haven't seen him abuse his power, so even if he is corrupted, I'm inclined to let him pursue making aspects, especially if it distances us from Ruin ending the game.

Casting a vote with an aspect takes an action, so none of them could have voted as HH took one action to worldhop to Taldain and one action to create Trell. Similarly, he will only ever be able to cast a maximum of three votes every day, unless he somehow manages to get a charge of Ambition's Investiture. As he didn't use a Shardic action, it's still possible he's uncorrupted. Once he makes his fourth aspect/Ruin destroys Roshar, hopefully he'll abstain from using Autonomy's powers so as to avoid being corrupted.

Yep, I can confirm that's correct. I suggest all worldhoppers gather at the nearest emergency exit horneater peaks, for the great food, views and thermal baths.

Also, I did a quick check of the votes for tampering, as it seemed at the end of the cycle that the tie had been broken against Jondesu by young bard, and now it would have been a tie if Ambition hadn't been voting. However Devotary missed Pyro's most recent vote switch, which lead to incorrect assumptions about the vote total. Since those posts seem to have been made at the same time, I think this was just an accident.

The issue here, as I see it, is that the three largest Ruin suspects (myself, Ripple, Eternum) are still on Roshar, so if it does blow, we’re still fairly unsure as to who it is. I’ll be taking Randuir’s advice on this one.

I’d urge people to remember that Ruin could very likely be on Taldain. Last cycle, HH hinted strongly he would be aspecting on Roshar, so Ruin may have moved to Taldain thinking it was more likely to be destructible. In particular, I’m leery of Joe, who’s still on Taldain as far as I know, and Young Bard, who left our world doc.

Also, Seonid, it’s Night 4 :P

Also, Arinian, you’ve not commented since a while back, but you’ve been viewing the thread. Please stop lurking.

Also, never mind, Joe said Bard wasn’t on Taldain. There went that theory.

Why did no one move? That's annoying...

Besides that, I might try to get some analysis done, but I have quite a bit of homework to get done today, as well as a tournament I am helping out at, so don't expect too much from me. I will keep an eye on the thread, and be able to respond in fairly short posts (Sorry everyone who doesn't like my short posts) but I will not be able to do too much.

The problem was that the vote tally I was looking at indicated 3 votes on Eternum, when there were actually 4: LL, Ripple, HH, and Jondesu.

Quote

Eternum(3): LL 1, Fifth Scholar 1, Ripple 1, HH 1, Jondesu 1, Pyro 1

The player list for Nalthis is:
Devotary
_Stick_
YoungBard
Magestar
Megasif
Elbereth
(Sand Lord)

Assuming nobody is lying about the planet lists, the player list for Scadrial is thus:

Droughtbringer
Drake
livinglegend
Pyromancer
Steeldancer
(Patji)

Pyromancer and Steeldancer are not on Scadrial... Are they supposed to be?

Otherwise the list is correct.

Where are they then? Their names didn't appear on the posted player lists for Roshar or Taldain, and I know they're not on Nalthis. Scadrial is the only other place they could be.

@A Joe in the Bush, @RippleGylf, could you double-check your player lists? Especially Joe, as Randuir confirmed the Roshar list.
