Popular Post Seonid he/him
LG43: Under the Banner of Adonalsium Actions and Turns: Each Cycle will consist of a Day Turn and a Night Turn. Day Turns will last roughly 48 hours, while Night Turns will last approximately 24 hours. Every player may use only one action during each Turn. In addition to any actions made available by Roles, Shards, or Shardworlds, each player may use their action during the Day turn to worldhop from one location to another, and may use an action during either Turn to pass one or more charges of investiture they possess to another player. Unless otherwise specified, actions can only affect players on the same world as you! Unless otherwise specified, actions can only affect living players! Death and the Cognitive Realm: When a player loses their last life, they pass to the Cognitive Realm - a doc for dead players to talk together. Their Roles and Faction are revealed, and they are no longer considered to be living players. However, they are still part of the game, and can be targeted by some abilities. Players in the Cognitive Realm cannot post in the thread or in PMs with other players, or take actions. However, they retain any investiture or roles they had in life. Shardworlds: There will be 6 worlds available: Silverlight, Roshar, Scadrial, Nalthis, Taldain, and Braize. Each world except for Silverlight will have it’s own Doc that players can use to communicate privately. Each player will start in Silverlight. In addition to private communications, each Shardworld other than Silverlight gives access to a special action or passive ability to the players that worldhop to it. Roshar - A player on Roshar may use an action during either Turn to exchange one charge of investiture for another charge of investiture from any Shard. Scadrial - A player on Scadrial may use an action during either Turn to exchange one charge of investiture for an extra life that lasts until the end of the Turn. Nalthis - A player on Nalthis may use an action during the Day Turn to exchange one charge of investiture to count their vote double. Taldain - A player on Taldain does not gain any special ability, but their actions may affect any player, regardless of the world they are on. Braize - A player on Braize may use an action during the Night Turn to exchange 2 charges of investiture to attack a player on any Shardworld. Factions: Adonalsium’s Chosen - After losing control of the 17th Shard, Hoid has fled to the farthest reaches of the Cognitive Realm to plot how to reforge Adonalsium under the very noses of the researchers he once led. You are one of his loyal followers, ready to steal the Shards and combine their power again. You win the game if your faction outnumbers all living players. Sudden Death Win Condition - If all 11 Shards are fused into a single Shard, Adonalsium’s Chosen win the game. Standard of Harmony - For a long while, Khrissala has hidden in the shadows, waiting for the opportunity to restore the state of the Cosmere to its former stability. Now, with Hoid out of the way, you stand with her as she acts to release the Shards again. You win the game if your faction outnumbers all living players. Sudden Death Win Condition - If all 10 shards other than Survival are invested in a Shardworld, the Standard of Harmony wins the game. 17th Shard - With the dangerous machinations of the madman who once led you taken care of, you are free to study the power of the shards however you like. And if you keep their power to yourselves, who could blame you? It’s not everyday you get offered a chance at Shardic power. You win the game if all members of the Standard of Harmony and Adonalsium’s Chosen are killed. Sudden Death Win Condition - If Hoid and Khrissala are killed and all 11 Shards are in containment, the 17th Shard wins the game. Standard Roles: Researcher - You are a worker in the vast Silverlight labs, studying the Shards and their power. With the recent unrest, you have found it prudent to siphon some of the Investiture off for your own protection. Surely that can’t have any side effects, right? While in Silverlight, each Night Turn, you may use your action to target a contained Shard and steal a charge of Investiture from it. In addition, if you hold a Shard of Adonalsium, you may use one actions during both the Day Turn and the Night Turn of a single Cycle to put the Shard back into containment. If you hold a shattered Shard of Adonalsium, you may use a single action on any Turn to put it into containment. Every player except for Hoid and Khrissala starts out with this Role. Hoid - You are the leader of Adonalsium’s Chosen, and a worldhopper of vast experience. You may carry any number of Investiture charges from any number of Shards and begin the game with one charge of investiture from each of them. As the leader of your faction, you are immune to alignment or win condition change, and may use your action during the Night Turn to target a player on the same world as you and convert them to your team. This conversion fails if you target a player who holds a Shard or if you target a member of the Standard of Harmony. You may convert up to X players over the course of the game. Alternatively, if you are in Silverlight, you may use your action during the Night Turn to target a Shard in containment. That Shard requires one fewer charges of stolen investiture to be released that Night. If you ever hold two Shards, you may use your action during either Turn to fuse the two Shards together into a new Shard. You may not take any attack actions. Also, any time a Shard attempts to invest in you, the investment fails as if they had tried to invest in another Shard. In addition, each time this happens, you steal a charge of investiture from that Shard. Khrissala - You are the leader of the Standard of Harmony, and a worldhopper of vast experience. You may carry any number of Investiture charges from any number of Shards. As the leader of your faction, you are immune to alignment or win condition change, and may use your action during the Night Turn to target a player on the same world as you and convert them to your team. This conversion fails if you target a player who holds a Shard or if you target a member of Adonalsium’s Chosen. You may convert up to X players over the course of the game. Alternatively, if you are in Silverlight, you may use your action during the Night Turn to target up to two Shards. You steal one charge of investiture from each Shard. If you are on any other world and you hold a Shard of Adonalsium, you may instead use an action during either Turn to invest that shard in the world. Shards of Adonalsium: Spoiler The Shards of Adonalsium are objects of immense power, capable of reshaping reality to their whim. The Shards are currently kept in containment in Silverlight, where they are being studied ceaselessly for insights into their power and how to replicate it. However, certain unscrupulous persons have been known to siphon a small portion of a contained Shard’s power away for their own purposes. Unfortunately, such thefts weaken the barriers containing the vast Investiture of the Shard. If X charges of investiture are stolen from a contained Shard in a single Night Turn, the fields will fail completely, releasing the Shard into the Cosmere again. If this happens, no players will gain charges of investiture from the Shard. Instead, one of the players who attempted to steal the investiture will instead gain the role of Vessel, holding that Shard. When a Shard is released from containment, is returned to containment by a Researcher, is Shattered, or is invested in a Shardworld, a public announcement is made. A contained Shard does not have a Vessel, and cannot be used or targeted by any actions other than a Researcher’s ability to steal Investiture, the unique abilities of Khrissala and Hoid, or Odium’s attack. Stolen Investiture: Charges of investiture can be stolen from contained Shards. A player holding a charge of investiture may burn it to gain a special action or passive ability until the end of the Turn. Burning a charge of investiture does not require an action, but using the ability granted by it does. At the end of a Turn in which a charge of investiture has been burned, it is removed from the game. Unless otherwise specified in their Roles, no player may hold more than 3 charges of investiture at any given time. Investiture above and beyond those 3 charges is removed from the game. A player may burn any number of charges of investiture in a Turn. Ambition - A player who burns a charge of Ambition’s investiture may use their action during either Turn to gain an additional action during the following Turn. Autonomy - A player who burns a charge of Autonomy’s investiture may use their action during either Turn to scan another player on the same world as they are and learn what action(s) they took during that Turn. Cultivation - A player who burns a charge of Cultivation’s investiture may use their action during either Turn to create a PM with another player on the same world as they are. Devotion - A player who burns a charge of Devotion’s investiture may use their action during the Day Turn to cancel the vote of a player on the same world as they are. Dominion - A player who burns a charge of Dominion’s investiture gains immunity to redirects and roleblocks until the end of the Turn. Endowment - A player who burns a charge of Endowment’s investiture may use their action during the Day Turn to give another player an additional action during the Night Turn. No player can gain more than one action from this effect, and actions gained by this effect do not stack with actions gained by burning Ambition’s investiture. Honor - A player who burns a charge of Honor’s investiture may use their action during the Night Turn to protect another player on the same world as they are against one attack. Odium - A player who burns a charge of Odium’s investiture may use their action during the Night Turn to attack another player on the same world as they are. Preservation - A player who burns a charge of Preservation’s Investiture gains an extra life until the end of the Turn. Only one extra life is gained, no matter how many charges of Preservation’s investiture are burned. Ruin - A player who burns a charge of Ruin’s investiture may use their action during the Night Turn to roleblock another player on the same world as they are. Survival - A player who burns a charge of Survival’s investiture gains immunity to scans and vote manipulation until the end of the Turn. Vessels: A Vessel holds a Shard of Adonalsium, and survives the first attack made against them during the game (this protection does not apply to the lynch). Each Shard confers a powerful Shardic ability upon the bearer that can be used during the Night Turn, and gains an extra action each Cycle that can be used in either Turn. Shardic abilities may target players on any world, regardless of the location of the Vessel. In addition, during the Day Turn, a Vessel may choose to use an action to invest in a player on the same world as they are. A player that has been invested by a Shard gains a new role until the end of the following Day Turn. A Shard cannot invest in another Vessel. If they attempt to do so, the action will fail, as if it had been roleblocked. Regardless of how many actions they have available, unless otherwise specified, each Shard’s Shardic ability may only be used once per Cycle, and each Shard may only invest in one player per Cycle. Any Vessel may use an action during the Day Turn to pass their Shard to another player. If they do so, they lose the Vessel role, and the player they passed the Shard to gains it. Vessels are vulnerable to being overwhelmed by the Intent of their Shard. Too much use of the power and their personality (and win condition) will be overwhelmed by the driving force of Shardic Intent. If this happens, the alignment of the Vessel will be changed to self-aligned, and their new win condition will be revealed to them. If a Vessel is killed, the Shard passes to the player they invested in during the most recent Day Cycle. If they did not invest in the most recent Day Cycle, or if their Shard cannot invest in another player, then the Shard passes to a random non-Vessel player. Holding Multiple Shards - A player may hold more than one Shard at a time. However, they gain no extra lives or actions beyond the base extra life and action which they already gain for being a Vessel. In addition, a player that holds multiple Shards may only use the Shardic Ability of a single Shard in any Night Turn, regardless of how many actions they have available. If a player holding multiple Shards invested during the Day Turn, they may only use the Shardic Ability of a Shard with which they invested. Fused Shards - Hoid can fuse two Shards together into a single, new Shard. This Shard counts as a single Shard, but has the Shardic abilities of all of the original Shards used to make it, and the Vessel holding the new Shard may use as many of those Shardic abilities as they have actions for. In addition, a player invested by a Fused Shard gains the Investment Role of each original Shard used to make it. If one of the Shards used to create a Fused Shard cannot invest in another player, the Fused Shard cannot invest in another player either. Shattered Shards: A Shard that has been targeted by Odium’s attack ability becomes Shattered. A player holding a Shattered Shard cannot use its Shardic Ability. Instead, they gain the Investment Role of the Shard as long as they hold the Shattered Shard. If the Shattered Shard does not have an Investment Role, the player holding it gains an extra life instead. A player cannot pass a Shattered Shard. If a Shattered Shard is unshattered or placed into containment while it is held by a player, then that player loses the Investment Role. Shards Invested in a Shardworld: Several effects allow a Shard or an aspect of one to be invested in a Shardworld. When that happens, the Shard or aspect is removed from the Vessel and attached to the world. At the start of every Cycle, every player on that Shardworld will receive a charge of the invested Shard’s investiture. A Shard invested in a Shardworld does not have a Vessel, and cannot be used or targeted by any actions other the lynch or Odium’s attack. A Shard or aspect that has been invested in a Shardworld will show up on the player list, and can be voted on like any player on that list. If a Shard or aspect invested in a Shardworld is lynched, they are divested from the world. Each player who voted on the Shard will gain an charge of that Shard’s investiture, except for one of the players - chosen at random - will receive the Shard instead. If an aspect is divested from the world, it is destroyed, and each player who voted on it will gain a charge of investiture from the Shard which created it. List of Shards and Their Abilities: Spoiler Ambition: Shardic Ability - You may use your action during the Night Turn to target a player in the Cognitive Realm. That player permanently gains the Shade role. Investment Action - The Vessel of Ambition cannot invest in another player. Instead, they may use their action during the Day Turn to target a player. That player gains an extra anonymous vote against them in the vote count. Autonomy: Shardic Ability - During the Day Turn, you may use an action to have one of your aspects vote on any player. During the Night Turn, you may use an action to have one of your aspects which did not vote on a player roleblock a player on the same world as they are. Either ability may be used as many times as the Vessel has available actions, but each aspect may only be used once per Cycle. Investment Action - The Vessel of Autonomy cannot invest in another player. Instead, they may use their action during the Day Turn to target the Shardworld you are currently on. You create a uniquely-named aspect of yourself that is invested in that Shardworld. Each Shardworld can only have one aspect of yourself invested in it, and you cannot invest an aspect into a Shardworld that has a Shard already invested in it. Cultivation: Shardic Ability - You may use your action during the Night Turn to to create up to two PMs, each containing any number of players between 2 and half the number of living players (rounded up). Alternatively, you may use your action to target a Shard that has been shattered. That Shard is restored to its full power. Investment Role - Lightweaver: You may use your action during the Night Turn to target a player. All actions that target you are redirected to that player. Devotion: Shardic Ability - You may use your action during the Night Turn to target a player. All action targeting that player target you instead. Until the end of the next Day Turn, that player cannot be lynched. Investment Role - Elantrian: You may use your action during the Day Turn to redirect the vote of a player on the same planet as you are. Dominion: Shardic Ability - You may use your action during the Night Turn to redirect any actions another player takes to a different player (living or dead). Any actions that do not target a player cannot be redirected. Investment Role - Dakhor Monk: You gain an extra life. During the Night Turn, you may use an action to attack another player on the same planet as you. You lose a life as a result of this attack. Endowment: Shardic Ability - You may use your action during the Night Turn to target a player in the Cognitive Realm. That player is brought back to the Physical Realm and gains the Returned role. Investment Role - Awakener: You may use your action during the Night Turn to scan another player on the same planet as you. You are told the sources of all investiture they hold, and if they are a Vessel. Honor: Shardic Ability - You may use your action during the Night Turn to protect another player against one attack. If the player is attacked by Odium, any Shards that player holds are not Shattered. Investment Role - Windrunner: You may protect another player on the same planet as you. Odium: Shardic Ability - You may use your action during the Night Turn to attack another player. This kill bypasses the protection possessed by a Vessel, and any Shards that the target player holds are Shattered, even if the player survives the attack. Alternatively, you may use your action during the Night Turn to target a Shard in containment or invested in a Shardworld. That Shard is Shattered and either released from containment or divested from the Shardworld. Any players who tried to steal investiture from it that night will not receive the charges of investiture, but one of them will receive the Shattered Shard at random. If no players attempted to steal charges of investiture from the targeted Shard, the Shattered Shard will be given to a random non-Vessel player. If the Shattered Shard was divested from a Shardworld, it will be given to a random player on that Shardworld, or a random non-Vessel player if no players were on the Shardworld at the time it was Shattered. Investment Role - The Vessel of Odium cannot invest in another player. Instead, they may use their action during the Day Turn to scan another player. They are told if that player is a Vessel, and what Shard, if any, they hold. Preservation: Shardic Ability - You may use your action during the Night Turn to target another player (living or dead). Until the end of the following Day Turn, that player cannot be targeted by any actions. You cannot target the same player twice in a row. Investment Role - Mistborn: You may use your action during the Night Turn to target another player. If that player is targeted by an action that Night, the player that targeted them takes an attack. This does not block the original action. Ruin: Shardic Ability - You may use your action during the Night Turn to attack another player. This kill bypasses the protection possessed by a Vessel, . Alternatively, you may instead use your action during the Night Turn to target the planet you are on. That planet is destroyed. Any Shards invested in it are divested from it, and are given to a random non-Vessel player. Any other players who were on that world are roleblocked and worldhop to a random world. Investment Role - Hemalurgist: You may use your action during the Night Turn to target another player. If that player has at least one charge of investiture, you steal a random charge from them. If the player is a Vessel or holds the investment role granted by a Shard, you instead steal one charge of investiture from the Shard associated with that role. Survival: Shardic Ability - You may use your action during the Night Turn to target a player (including yourself). Until the end of the next Day Turn, that player is immune to scans and vote manipulation. Investment Role - The Vessel of Survival may not invest in another player. Instead, they may use their action during the Day Turn to gain an extra life until the end of the following Night Turn. Cognitive Realm Roles: Returned: You return to the Physical Realm, losing any Roles or Investiture you had in your previous life. However, you may use your action during the Night Turn to do one of the following: roleblock a player on any world, protect a player from all attacks during a Cycle, or give another player two charges of investiture from any Shard or Shards. Using any of these actions will cause you to lose a life. If you lose all of your remaining lives again, you will be removed from the game and go straight to the Spiritual Realm (the spectator doc). Shade: You may burn any charges of investiture you still possess and use the actions gained to target living players on any Shardworld. You may not use any other actions. Seonid he/him
Just now, Arinian said: So 6 or 7? Fixed - there are 6 worlds total, if you include Silverlight. And I ended up replacing Sel with Taldain. Too many worlds diluted the PM potential. However, only 5 of those worlds have a special action anyone can take (although Hoid, Khriss, and the Researchers all have to be on Silverlight to use their special action targeting contained Shards). Steeldancer he/him
I will be signing up as Eobard Thawne and Steeldancer. I have a story to tell. I will probably be more focused on RP this game. ------ Hundreds of years had passed since he had been slain by metal cans. With his limited speed force abilities, Eobard had discovered the quirks of this universe. He had also discovered he could not interact with the magic systems of this universe- apparently he didn't have enough "connection". Furthermore, the Barry Allen of this universe was not a speedster. Nobody was really a speedster. And with no speedsters, the speed force did not dwell in this universe properly. But Eobard had been doing research, and he had an idea. All he needed was somebody fast... ---- Steeldancer zipped across Scadrial, his spren by his side. Today, he was going back to Roshar, and he was excited. Like Fleet of the stories, he could race the storms again. He had been busy cleaning up the streets of Elendel and it's surrounding cities, and hadn't had the opportunity to worldhop back to the world that had changed him from fast to the fastest. Abrasion and Steel, unstoppable speed. Furthermore, back on Roshar, he could spend time with other edgedancers- steelrunners were pretty rare here on Scadrial. Furthermore, it would perk up Phyl. No matter how much stormlight he gave her using his medallion, spren tended to wilt away from the highstorms of Roshar. Stopping at Harmony's perpendicularity, he looked at Phyl. "You ready?" "Absolutely," she said, her crystals seeming to be more plentiful than usual. Seems the little cultivationspren was just as excited as he was. "Well, in we go!" Steeldancer and spren jumped into the pool, and entered the cognitive realm.

Also Preservation was able to froze planets for turn... hmm... probably Seonid forgot to add something in rules.

Should be noted - no player can create PMs on their own. Since PMs require an action to create, they can be roleblocked or redirected. To create a PM, you submit the action in your game PM with the GM. It will be created at the start of the next turn. If Cultivation is shattered, there is no longer any way to restore any shattered Shards Rollover will be roughly 1:30 AM Mountain Daylight Time. Autonomy's aspects do not count for Khriss's Win Condition. 3 hours ago, Devotary of Spontaneity said: Is this just a weaker version of the Researcher steal ability? If Ruin destroys Silverlight, what effect does that have on any Shards in containment? Additionally, what happens if Ruin destroys all the planets? Hoid's ability is similar to the Researcher's ability. It's more focused on his win condition, though. Since he cannot steal investiture himself, it makes it so that he can guarantee that a Shard is released with a smaller team. If Ruin destroys Silverlight, contained Shards move to random Shardworlds. They remain in containment, and any player that can target a contained Shard with an ability can use that ability to target any Shard that is on the same Shardworld they are. (So, basically, any Silverlight only abilities become "anywhere with a contained Shard" abilities.) If all planets are destroyed? Source It is pretty interesting for sure Seonid can shattered shards be fused or invested planet wise? Yes, they are. I find them fun enough to not care too much about being perfectly realmatically correct. Shattered Shards cannot be fused or invested in a planet. That Shard requires one fewer charges of stolen investiture to be released that Night. If you ever hold two Shards, you may use your action during either Turn to fuse the two Shards together into a new Shard. Does Hoids ability to target a shard only reduce the number of charges required for that night like it says or does it reduce it for longer? If it only reduces it by 1 why wouldnt he just take a charge wouldnt that do the same thing plus he actually gets something? If hoid had three shards at once could he use the action to merge all three?
