The Feruchemist Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 Sazed. Say-zd, or Suh- zed, I still don’t know. People call him Saze, so I guess it’s Sayzd instead of Suh-zed, but what do I know?
ryshadium90 Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 Huh, I've always said it Sah-zed, and Sah-ze
Farnsworth Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 Quote Questioner What was your favorite Mistborn character to write? Personally I hated Elend and Vin but loved Zane. Brandon Sanderson Oh wow, hated Elend and Vin and loved Zane… *stumbles over words* I'm going to stay away from you. *laughter* I'm just joking. Who's my favorite? *sighs* Picking a favorite character is almost impossible, it's who you're writing at the moment but I kind of have a weird personal connection in a weird way with Sazed so I'll say him. And it's okay if you say "Sah-zed" I say "Say-zed" but I don't say everything right, I say "Kelsi-er" too and his name is "Kelsi-ay". #pronounciations 4
Flying she/her Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 I think my favorite name is Kaladin, but that might just be because he's my favorite character of all time and his name reminds me of, well, Kaladin. 2
The Feruchemist Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 Truth is I’ll never say his names right. *shrug*
Fezzik Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 How is the g in Taravangian pronounced? guh or gee
Kered he/him Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 What makes a good name for me is one that pops of the page in terms of implications and power. Bavadin. Makes me think of someone sinister. Pretty much all of the Unmade names with Sja-anat and Moelach being my favorites. If you had absolute no context and have never read any fantasy books I think you'd still be able to read the name of every Unmade and know they're evil. Which is a testament to Brandon. Tanavast. Feels like a wise old elders name to me. Sylphrena. In my opinion it's the most elegant sounding name in the cosmere. Rayse, again you could read this with no context and know he's evil, with the relationship with the word "raze" and all. Favorite over all would have to Jezrien.

Rebecca she/her Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Sylphrena; It’s just such a pretty name in my opinion, and really creative.
Lelouch Vi Britannia Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Let's see.... Hoid is great. Waxillium Ladrium is too, and Wax and Wayne are a great pair. The simpler ones- Vin has been mentioned- are good. Stormlight Archive has a lot of great traditional fantasy names, Elokhar and Kaladin for example. Sixth of the Dusk is weird and unique.
Stormblessed Dolphin he/him Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 I like Veil. the name really suits her since she is literally a veil/illusion of Shallan's alternate personality.
xxcyv he/him Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 I seem to be the only one who really likes the name Sarene... 1
Farnsworth Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 I also like Sixth. It's such an odd one. I HATE Frost's name. It's so cheesy. Why name a dragon Frost? That's almost like naming a Goblin bitey bitey. 1
Tesh Any pronouns Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 I really like all of the names of the Heralds. Especially Jezrien and Pailiah. I also really like Sylphrena.
Palaon Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 Jezerezeh'Elin is a definite favorite. Also Kaladin, Vin, Kelsier and Talenelat.
Ashspren Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 Sylphrena! Also, Adrotagia. I know that she works for a villain, but the name is honestly really pretty. Allrianne is super nice, too. I remember laughing at Sadeas’ first name: Torol.
goody153 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Sanderon used alot of nice sounding female names. Allrianne and Aona are fairly good sounding to my ears especially if you think about who they are. Syl and Ash has a nice ring to it too. It even fits who they are. For the male names. Tanavast, Rashek and Rayse are most likely my favorite. It has a bite to it.
Jude he/him Posted September 5, 2018 Posted September 5, 2018 I think Brandon Sanderson is very creative when he is making names for the gods. (Preservation, Harmony, Rune, Almighty, and etc.)
