18th Shard he/him Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 (edited) Nalan lived no evil won -elithanathile- now live on devil nalaN It's the same backwards letterwise except for Elithanathile where th is treated as one letter. Nalan better be Darkness. I worked too hard for it not to be him. Edited February 10, 2014 by 18th Shard 16
18th Shard he/him Posted February 10, 2014 Author Posted February 10, 2014 Not a ketek. I still win. Besides mine is Cosmere based. That has to be bonus points, right? 1
PeterAhlstrom he/him Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 It's not a ketek because the lines don't have the same words. Keteks and palindromes are not the same thing. 6
Peng the Just he/him Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 the perfect ketek would mean each word was a palidrome... Elithanathile: level deified racecar deified level Elithanathile. because making sense is over rated. 2
Bloodfalcon he/him Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Upvote after knowing it is not a Ketek because it is a sweet palindrome regardless.
18th Shard he/him Posted February 10, 2014 Author Posted February 10, 2014 (edited) Dang it, focused on the palindrome and not the ketek... sigh. Back to the drawing board. Anyone else has ideas, I would love to see them! Edit: How do I change the title? I will change it to "the Search for the Perfect Ketek" Edited February 10, 2014 by WeiryWriter try not to double post, use the "edit" function
WeiryWriter he/him Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Thread title changed. Edit: Yes I did. But really try not to double post. 1
Swimmingly he/him Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 I guess that's doubly holy, despite not being a ketek (technically. I still love it).
Feanor Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Perhaps Odium himself is the perfect ketek? One hates all, all hates one It seems that Odium's nature fits with Vorinism's love of symmetry. 4
The Rooster he/him Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Light weaver, recording oaths and taking images, uncovering images taken and oaths recorded, weaving light. I like keteks, way more fun than haiku. 10
Elbereth she/her Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 flla leaves as sopn as leaves fall Light weaver, recording oaths and taking images, uncovering images taken and oaths recorded, weaving light. I like keteks, way more fun than haiku. I like these! I'm working on one myself, but they're harder than you think.
The Rooster he/him Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 (edited) Brandon retweeted my ketek (probably it was Peter,I know but still!) And Peter complimented it! Boo ya! I have a new favorite form of poetry. Edited February 15, 2014 by AG Rooster 2
Ness Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Shouldn't there be a comma between "uncovering" and "images", as keteks are suppose to come in 5 complete thoughts? That said, I like that one a lot.

That said, I like that one a lot. Yeah I was debating this. While studying the form I deferred to the WoK ketek and I was having trouble finding the"5 ideas" properly divided by commas. So I went with this because it flowed better. This way I can say something pretentious like"the fifth idea its hidden and requires reflection" 1
Ness Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Yeah, makes sense, book says only that they must be divisible into 5 complete thoughts, not that they have to be divided already. (I think "uncovering" could be considered a complete thought.)
Delightful Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Based on LiftEating food, loves sliding, fast sliding, loves food, eats. Is that correct? 5
Mysty she/her Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 A ketek to the Seventeenth Shard and all who can't catch Hoid. Hoid is where trouble starts--world hopper, roamer--Hopping worlds starts trouble, Where is Hoid? 9
Swimmingly he/him Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Tears fall, a broken man, eyes burning cold and white - and cold burnt eyed men -broken, falling, torn. 1
The Rooster he/him Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 i think you're pushing it with the tears torn thing Swimmy. +1 anyway
18th Shard he/him Posted February 19, 2014 Author Posted February 19, 2014 it's perfect Vorin. Close to perfect, but not overperfect. Wouldn't to offend any Shards, now would we?
