Given her character and history, I see no reason this couldn't just be reworked into them discovering a previous, consensual affair. And yeah, Leane seems to have been forgotten at the end.

So I went to the Seattle signing today, and am here to bring some tidbits of info. Some others from 17th shard were there, and I think recording, so more/better information may be coming later. He read from a novella where people get powers after getting sick, and they live on a floating upside down city, so the sky is the surface of the planet. The planet has been damaged, with lava flowing on the surface. I asked him 3 questions: Q. Has Rock always been a third son? A. No (note, I got distracted by my other questions, so I am not 100% sure that he did say no, but I am about 85% sure I failed I know, I am hoping the sharder who was listening was recording or remembers better than I do.) Q. Are the pools on the Horneater peaks shardpools? A. RAFO Q. Any hints on the chapter 84 code? A. There is a key in the book. Also, someone asked if the Ryshadium were a result of spren symbiosis, Brandon hedged and said that investiture is involved.

The songs that he listens to are the death rattles, if you think of it that way it seems pretty clear that they are talking about Taravangian. Why would you describe Hoid as hiding in a city?

I have a lot of trouble figuring this out as well. My thought is maybe she used her second surge to go to Shadesmar, and got the highspren to help/heal her.

The woman with the mask is likely Maiske's (spelling? Ghostblood guy who recruits Shallan) babsk. She implies that he is her student, and he mentions having a babsk. Still not a lot of info, but it is something.

After reading reactions to WoR, I feel like I might be the only one who is hoping for Shallan and Kaladin...

You might want to reread the chasm part and the parts immediately afterward. Kaladin is obviously interested, and even admits to himself that he is jealous of Adolin. In addition, Shallan is interested back, thinking that it isn't Adolin's fault that he isn't brilliant like Kaladin is, then goes of a two paragraph gush about what she finds attractive about him. During this gush she ignores Adolin talking to her. Now, this doesn't mean that they are going to fall in love forever or anything. But clearly SOMETHING has to happen there.

Unfortunately Swimmingly, I just think that it isn't a ketek. It is impossible to make the quote into a ketek without altering the original text, which implies that isn't meant to be one. Keteks must be exactly the same words, backwards, and must still make sense, this glimpse just doesn't fit that. Now, if you just want to make a ketek with those words because you like it, that is something else. You will still have to change the words though.

I like it, but technically not a ketek. Has more than 5 parts, and you don't use exactly the same words in the same order. Keteks allow for changing verb tense, not as much movement as you have

Yeah, makes sense, book says only that they must be divisible into 5 complete thoughts, not that they have to be divided already. (I think "uncovering" could be considered a complete thought.)

Shouldn't there be a comma between "uncovering" and "images", as keteks are suppose to come in 5 complete thoughts? That said, I like that one a lot.

I feel like with 30 sets of shards on the plains, the most Adolin could get away with taking is 5-8. Which would still give his family a huge advantage over any other group, other than an alliance of highprinces.

True, I could expand on this. Think of pressing your hands tightly together, forcing the air out of your palms. If you start to move your hands apart, your palms stick together, this is because a difference in pressure. While your palms resist being pulled apart, you don't feel anything on the back of your hands pushing them together, you feel a force on your palms pulling them together. Thus, the pressure surge should be able to have pulling forces, so it makes sense for a full lashing to use the pressure surge. I agree with the idea that there should be much more you can do with pressure and gravity surges though

I don't agree that the pressure surge can only push. If there is a difference in pressure between two areas, it is totally possible for the difference in pressure to pull on something. There is an experiment where you put a hard boiled egg on the top of an open coke bottle which has a candle inside. The candle will heat the air until there is no oxygen, then the fire will go out. The air will then cool again, creating a difference in pressure, causing the egg to get sucked into the bottle. Clearly, the egg is PULLED into the bottle, not pushed. (You can see videos of what I am describing on youtube.)

So I was going though the WoK reread, and I noticed this comment by Wetlandernw about the spren Renarin sees. "travyl @46 - It's a known fact, with a picture of what Brandon wrote in someone's book, but if I were you, I would NOT go read that. The reveal in WoR context is so, so, so much better." Now, knowing he sees a spren is not news, but this quote seems lets slip that someone finds out about the spren in WoR. (For those who don't know, Wetlander has read WoR) EDIT: WoK reread chapters 50-51

Have to agree with 213, Most people get hooked on One Piece at Arlong Arc, around episode 30. Some arcs are stronger than others, and the HxH chimera ant arc is better than most of the OP arcs, but there are one or two OP arcs which I think are better. (Granted, chimera ant arc isn't over, so it is hard to really judge it). But, like longer book series, One Piece is an investment, only you can judge if it is worth the time.
