  1. Happy birthday!

  2. I dont have all the quotes here, but a few pieces are feeling like they might fit together. (which means probably not!) So now we have "Wind", which is one of the rhythms of Roshar. Interesting that it was used to guide humans to Roshar. And when parshendi hum to the "winds" it means to follow. "He hummed to the Winds at last, a sign for her to follow" (also note the capital) Could this mean the other Rhythms the parshendi use are also spren? Both "old rhythms" and maybe new ones like Ridicule? This also makes me think back to WoR (the in world book) which said something along the lines of there were usually three bondsmith, but to exceed this number was seen as seditious. Could this mean the other "Rhythms" could potentially make bondsmith radients but would be "blasphemous" for lack of a better word? Could this be who was speaking on the back of WoK (The Winds)? This is all just wild thinking right now sure there are a ton of holes in it, just was caught quite surprised by the latest chapter release and the Wandersail story.
  3. That would mean however that both Nale and Chanarach were killed that night. That seems unlikely since Nale has been travelling around trying to prevent a desolation at later points in the story. If he had been killed and returned he would know a desolation was already occurring and we know he was at the palace the night of gavaliars assassination. Now it could very well ahve not been Nale but another skybreaker. However if her mother was Chanarach that does not seem to make as much sense as Ishar.
  4. "A man had come, either to hurt Shallan or to separate her from Testament." (emphasis mine) Admittedly Shallan is not the most reliable of narrators especially here. This bugs me. Who or what could separate a person from their bond? Has anyone every considered (I am sure they must have) Ishar being the visitor? Lets even assume the Chanarach theory is correct. What friend might she have brought along to help her daughter?
  5. This is my choice. I cannot pick the destination, only the path. Maybe even just "This is my choice". (with intent of course) He thought he was close with “Give it to me,” Gavilar said. “Now. I need it.”
  6. More random thoughts on this .... Thinking along this line assuming they can’t leave it may not even be permanent, and that may also be part of the issue. The singers change forms anytime they want (with the right conditions of course), meaning rebonding is common. This might not necessarily mean ‘deadeye’ spreen it might just mean the bond itself with singers is weaker allowing them to change bonds. BUT that would still leave the spree without a host and ‘mindless’ on this side if they decided to change. Even if they are not ‘trapped’ this could still be the issue, and might be why we haven’t seen shardblades. IF they are trapped it certainly adds another layer of undesirability
  7. Quick question on that, I am trying to think back through the scenes .... have we seen Timbre outside the gemheart since the bonding at all? Now even if not that might just be because of the situation but would certainly be interesting if they were trapped
  8. Oh man that was an emotional roller coaster. Elokhar holding his son and trying to say the oaths, then .... Moash Shallan .... just all over the board, wit, trying to help and failing, repeatedly That moment when you realize Renerian has bonded a voidspren And being absolutely terrified we had lost Dalinar, vision of him as champion ....no no no... And then, Dalinar! Maya! and so many more it those are the ones that stand out after just finishing. Man that was an amazing story!
  9. He didnt do it, He didnt do it! Ah wonder if the rest of my prediction will come true....
  10. Just a thought here. I honestly do think Pattern doesn't like her sprens "race" if you will. It did read to me as negative. However consider this. Syl REALLY didn't like Cryptics either, and they are not a "bad" spren. Prejudices are not just a human element ....
  11. It DID have bones. Note: I really really dont think it is a Kandra, but the "thing" clearly did have bones
  12. Found it There could be a connection though i doubt it still
  13. Although that is actually interesting now that I think about it. Wasnt the other person killed (and replicated) something said like, they went too far this time and killed them (like they finally snapped). Ill have to go look it up.
  14. Ya know i never even considered that. I honestly dont think it did, but it is possible. As for the rest here is my take (note these are just my opinions) They dont care about the right or wrong of it. They want to use U as a base so they need to to be "safe and secure" which means getting rid of whatever the problem is causing the darkness. Does this darkness relate to the stones being Unhallowed that Szeth could walk on them? - Dont think so Is this darkness part of why the Radiants abandoned it? I suspect it happened after the radients abandoned it but that could be correct Did the darkness contribute to Adolin losing control and killing Torol Sadeas? - dont think so Is this malign influence encouraging further mayhem? - I think so, see 5 Is it behind the replicated murders? - I think so! Is it Odious, independent or an effect of the Oathpact? Dont think its directly Odium so much as one of the unmade What is it's nature? Does Urithiru have a spren? No idea What are the even better questions that I have missed?
  15. Tomorrow Tomorrow there's always tomorrow.... Its only a daaaaaay aaaa waaaaaay Yeah I've got it bad .... i need my Tuesday fix
