I ran out of likes...again. I just got them back. I tried to like this post, though...

Anyways - glad to have you! If steph wants to join up, then no prior knowledge of Mistborn is required (and I'm almost certain that there won't be spoilers for Book 1, unless a player spoils something. And there are only minor spoilers about the rest of them). But if not, that's fine too. No pressure...

I still have some likes lol...*upvotes your post :P

Yeah but I've been trying to get her to join the mlp game to no avail...I think she wants a break haha

Fair enough. We all need a break sometime.

Wait, I realized I made my character a skaa farmer...that might be a problem.

Is it fine if I change him to a skaa crew leader?

He'll have to be undercover; "skaa crew" means "criminal gang", and that's not exactly something he'd want to admit in the presence of the nobility.

Or he can just be a skaa guard (or farmer who became a guard); there are quite a few of those (though if he's an allomancer he'd definitely keep that hidden).

Oh, I know. I like the idea that he's a guard undercover.

Sorry, this is my first time doing something like this, so I'll probably be asking lots of questions and floundering around.

I am Sorren Karidor. I've been patrolling these grounds since before most of you whippersnappers were born. Count me in!

Barry spit in the General direction of sorren. What good was that old guy going to be in a fight anyway?

"I'm young and disrespectful to my elders. What do you expect?"

Garshin laughed.  "Well, at least you're honest enough to admit it.  Just be careful...if you're too disrespectful to your elders, they might decide to look the other way if some of the skaa decide to react to your treatment of them."

Dromea couldn't help but overhear the pair conversing, what with her tin on at a low burn.

"Doubt the skaa would dare pull any tricks... I would, though, if ya tried disrespectin' me."

"I don't know, you hear about skaa making trouble every so often."  Had the Survivor started his thieving campaign this far back?  I don't think his pre-Hathsin life was covered in much depth in any of the history courses.  "Even a rebellion every few centuries."

Barry grinned. He didn't actually hate the skaa or his elders. It was just sometimes fun to poke fun at old people and skaa. In reality, he knew Garmin and sorren wouldn't have lasted so long without a few talents. It would be wise to pay attention to them, without being worshipful or anything. Now as for being a guard, there was some sort of woman through the mists. Why was she hanging around?

Barry had been informed the last night part of the situation with the House. And so he was wary of any potential spies...

Argyle tripped over a chair.

"Aaah!" He fell onto the stone floor, in a clatter. He felt bruised, but he didn't think he had broken any bones. He got up, and quickly looked around. At least no one saw him fall.

"Who put that chair here? It wasn't there when I left..." He scratched his head. It didn't matter. There was supposed to be a meeting of the guard's soon, and he needed his weapon. A club wasn't an elegant weapon, but it was wood, and it got the job done. Where had it gotten off to? He finally spotted it on the other side of the room, and rushed to get it. He was going to be late if he didn't hurry.

He tried to rush out of the room, but before he exited, he tripped over the chair again. He swore, and quickly exited the room. He really hoped no one had seen that...Then again, it wasn't like he wasn't clumsy most of the time. He sighed. There wasn't much he could do about it. He got up once again. Made sure not to walk in to the chair, and exited the room. He hoped no more accidents would happen.

Are you singing up, @Sart? Or just joining the RP (nothing wrong with that)

Boris heard a crash from the next room over. He looked up, pondering, and slowly made his way over to the door. He was curious, sure, but he wasn't in any particular hurry. He never was. When he finally reached the door, he opened it slowly, the door hinges squeaking with a lack of oil.

"Who might you be?" he said to Argyle, but he was drowned out by the latter tripping on another chair. Argyle rushed out of the room without hearing. Boris could have followed, but he didn't think it would have accomplished much, so he wandered back to his post.

Marv found guard duty incredibly boring. For most of the night, he would stand at the gate or on the wall and stare into the mists, often while vigorously rubbing his stone. The mists put him off. Didn't it with everyone? It was like anything could be hiding inside, lurking in the shadows... waiting to strike. He shuddered and clutched his poleaxe tighter. He glanced up at the crescent blade. If anything, the weapons provided were cool, even if he didn't know how to use them. He supposed that all he had to do was chop and thrust, repeat. He shrugged. Simple. He gazed off again into the night.

Mila grumbled to herself, as she helped to gather dinner for the guards. More guards meant more work for her. She didn't think it was fair that she had to keep up the pretense of being a maid. She was just as skilled, if not more so, than a lot of these men. At least she was on the guard payroll. Not that anyone but Lord Conrad was aware of that. Her skills made her quite valuable, and Conrad wanted them kept secret. A woman guard would stand out. She understood. She just didn't like having to put up with maid duties.

She got along well enough with all of the guards she knew, but there were so many new recruits she would have to be more careful from now on. Men were not to be trusted easily. She wasn't afraid of them. She could take them down easily enough if she had too, but the whole point of her being a maid was to keep that a secret. All the same, she'd rather avoid any situations that would get her fired. Beating or killing a guard just because he got a little fresh would definitely get her in trouble. Even if it would send a good message to the others.

She smiled at that last thought, and reminded herself that she could always feel better by spitting in the food of the guards she disliked. Besides, being a maid did come with the perks of hearing all of the house gossip. Maids had a knack for that. You'd think they were all burning tin the way they learned information. She chuckled to herself. Maybe they were? After all, she was a secret guard posing as a maid. Perhaps she should be more careful around the other maids as well.

I thought I'd get some RP in before the game started to establish how a girl could be a guard lol
