Sadeas' boot shiner (I could do a terrible job)

Would you rather have Hemalergic  spikes or be a mistwraith with no way to become a kandra?

Would you rather have Hermologic (I think I spelled that right) spikes or be a mistwrath with no way to become a kandra?

Hemalergic* mistwraith*
Spikes, easily, I get cool stuffs

Would you rather be killed by a Shardblade or be killed by Nightblood?

Shardblade. Quicker and more painless, or so I'd assume.

Would you rather be a Chromium Ferring in Alloy of Law times, or a skaa Tin Misting in Final Empire times?

Skaa Tin misting, because tin is my favorite metal and I could see the stars.

Would you rather have the ability of lightweaving or gravitation (If you could have only one)?

Gravitation, because illusions are intangible while Gravitation would let you do some pretty sweet things.

Would you rather be turned into a Lifeless or a Koloss?

Posted

Koloss, because at least I won't be killed in the process, just twisted into something beyond recognition.

Would you rather have a pet chasmfiend or five pet whitespines?

Pet chasmfiend. No one said it had to stay my pet.

Would you rather want to be able to have all of Brandon's vast Cosmere knowledge, but be unable to share it until the books are actually released, or be unable to get every book until two months after it's release date, but be able to understand every single reference and what it means?

The second option. That's what happens anyway, since I live in Mexico.

Would you rather meet Sazed or Jasnah?

Posted

Sign me up for Jasnah, preferably as my KR trainer. I want to be an Elsecaller so bad!

Would you rather that Brandon's books all vanish immediately and are reincarnated as extremely well-done movies (like better than LOTR) or we keep getting books at the same rate we do now but movies are never made from them?

Books, books, I like reading books!!! ;)

If you can know all about a Shard, which Shard would you like to know more about, Autonomy or Cultivation?

Bringing the thread back because why not?

Steelheart, because I think it would be kind of easier to defeat him? I would die, but at least, with either option, I'm opposing tyranny. Viva la revolution!

Would you rather spend an hour locked in a room with an angry and/or vengeful Vin or Kaladin?

Posted

Kaladin. Vin might just kill me on the spot, but with Syl sitting like an angel on Kaladin's shoulder I'd probably get my best shot at coming out relatively unscathed.

Would you rather be slowly buried under a pile of volcanic ash on Scadrial, or sit outside during a highstorm on Roshar?

Posted

Highstorm on Roshar. I'd just camp in Shinovar, where it's a light rain -- you never said I had to be in the Shattered Plains. ;)

Would you rather get in a drinking contest with Rock, or a Coinshot race with Wax?

Posted

Coinshot race with Wax. Although I'd definitely lose, it would be an exhilarating experience, one that wouldn't end with me waking up who-knows-where the next morning.

Would you rather be made into an Inquisitor or be replaced by a hostile Kandra?

Are we talking about Harmony-Sazed? If so, I'm definitely picking Sazed, because one should never pass on the opportunity for learning Realmatics from a Shard. If we're talking pre-Harmony Sazed, though, I'd pick Jasnah, because she seems to be a better teacher of the two, even if she's stern.

If given an opportunity to learn one of Cosmere's great secrets, would you pick turning Stormlight into Breath or Allomantic FTL travel?

Hm.... Allomantic FTL. I have some theories and thoughts about both, but ftl would be more useful and well... some of my thoughts on what Vasher is doing with stormlight...

Would you rather be able to have one chapter of Wayne, Lift, and Cody just roaming around, doing whatever they would do at wherever they were, or have a shardblade (live or dead).

Definitely the Shardblade.  Fewer laughs, but you'd get a majestic weapon that would turn you into the ultimate safecracker.

Would you rather be betrayed by Sadeas on the Tower (with no Kaladin there to save the day), or be killed by Nale in the name of "justice"?

I would go for... hmm.... Nale. If I was radiant or something in both cases, the I would choose betrayal.

Let's see... Would you rather have Hoid's knowledge and power, or be any Shard of your choice. (yes Harmony will count for all purposes here).

Hoid's knowledge and power. That way, I can travel wherever I want in the Cosmere and still interact with people, and not worry about being attacked by other Shards (lookin' at you, Odium!)

Would you rather visit the Purelake or Shinovar?

Shinovar. The Purelake uses fish as its main dish. I hate fish.

Would you rather see a conversation between Wayne and Shallan or Wayne and Jasnah?

Chop off Kaladin's toes, Trying to inflict a non-fatal wound against the guy constrained by a code of honor, who can heal from it and who's also asleep seems slightly less suicidal than a straight fight with the ammoral mercenary.

Would you rather live in Newcago as an ordinary human shortly after Steelheart's rise or be an Elantrian turned shortly after the Reod?

Posted

Newcago, much higher survival rate there, having to wait that long as a fallen Elantrian makes the chances way too high that I become a mumbling pain-ridden lunatic, rather just die in a blaze of super-fire than suffer that

Would you rather get into an insult battle with Hoid, or a philosophical debate with Elend?

Posted (edited)

Philosophical debate. Elend is one of my favorite characters, philosophy is fascinating, and I feel like I'd actually gain something from it as opposed to just being insulted the entire time.

Would you rather join the Idrian monks or the Vorin ardentia?
