And I found this thingy:

This...this is strangely relevant to a conversation I'm currently having.

Are you spying on me?

That is a hard choice, but I'd say it depends on how long you want to take. Furies draws you in, and makes you want to read the next five books. American gods only has one sequel that I'm aware of. Assuming I'm thinking of the right book.

I started Codex Alera, so I guess I'll be buying the next couple books then... even if I already have a lot of unread books...

Buffy:

Well, Oz is Good Guy Greg. Except for when he's in his wolf form. Then he's Good Guy Greg in a gorilla suit. (Questionable 90s effects aside, I love that guy. ^_^

Pete is by no means the first character here to land on my And Then They Died list, but he's one of the worse ones.

Poor Angel. :(

Supernatural:

I keep thinking my heart can't break any further but then it does.

Dean is in hell and he's still yelling forSam to help him? They are the cutest brothers in the history of ever and Dean is in hell and oh my goodness whyyyyy

Shh, it'll all get better. It's gonna be okay.

I also love Oz. But as for questionable 90s effects, you will see some even worse ones later in the series. XD

As for Angel... My heart breaks for him. Not just this episode but like his whole life (unlife?) on this show and his self-titled spinoff.

There was a fake bomb threat at my school today. Annoying. So the students were all evacuated to the football field and told to wait while Officers searched the school. Being the kind of person I am, I had a deck of cards on me. As did several other students. When the Faculty came to bring us back to class, they found a large portion of the student body participating in a poker tournament.

Huh. That's pretty cool.

Better than the times I have endured bomb threats at school--most of the time we were ushered outside to the bleachers/football field as quickly as possible and not allowed to grab anything and then forced to sit for several hours (in either blazing heat or frigid cold) with nothing to do. One time my brother (who was not old enough to be home alone at the time) got sent home in the middle of the day because of a bomb threat--without our parents being notified and without his coat or lunch. My parents were soooo mad at the school officials that day.

17S has passed 400,000 posts which is kind of insane when you think about it. Keep on being awesome, guys and gals.

For those of you that might not have seen it, I recently posted a page for a book review. Basically, members of the group alternately post a review of a book they liked to recommend it to Sharders. If you want to sign up to be a reviewer, you can sign up here. There's not too much work in it - if one member posts a review every week, even with the numbers we've got now, you only need to review once every couple months.

If you want to suggest a catchy name for the group, suggestions are welcome.

A slight technical note for the admins: Would you have a problem if we posted a thread every week for each new review? Are there any other problems you might have?

I ran my first game of D&D, using a premade adventure I found that I thought the players (my parents and sister) would appreciate (it's more of a mystery to solve rather than a mission to kill things, which I didn't think would appeal as much. It might come later, but mission 1 is creating interest in playing further). I think that for the most part, it went well.

We played for about 2 hours, and got probably half way through the adventure, (although they did get bogged down for a while at the start by looking into a dead end). I've got along way to go, but even from the one session, I've got ideas for how to better organize stuff so I don't forget to give players the information they need.

Players were left curious about what clues they'd found so far, so I'm feeling positive. Hopefully that carries over into whenever we can finish the adventure, and inspire them to play further.

So I'm sitting in library, reading a story and wearing my hat like I always do. I take my hat off, not for any reason, just an odle movement, and I see that there are four ants on it.

And then another one bounces off my head. The library has an infestation in the ceiling.

And that is why I always wear a hat.

At least it's not wasps.

Is that a recurring danger in Australia?

 surprisingly not. I was just sensing a "lions and tigers and bears!" vibe.

And then I realised it could be the lion the witch and the wardrobe. But you didn't react as expected so there go all my glorious plans. If it wasn't for you meddling kids ;)

Falling witches and wardrobes would be a danger too--more so than ants or wasps or scorpions. And a hat won't save you.

Unless you fall through the open wardrobe to Narnia. That could work.

And Wayne's lucky hat might save you :P

....aren't scorpions poisonous?
