I went shopping today. I was fine in the fruit and veg section, walked past the strawberries to the cheaper fruit, kept going, all good.

I get to the counter and this sweet lady starts scanning my groceries, and because it's Israel I go around to back them into plastic bags myself. As I'm doing this and finding money and being generally distracted - 

"Do you want lip balm?"

"No thanks"

"Ah ok so you're healthy. How about strawberries?"

"Ok sure"

 

Such is the story of how my self-control has limits and how I ended up eating extraordinarily delicious strawberries as my midnight snack. These things are divine I'm telling you. 

Strawberries... strawberries and blueberries. And raspberries. And, come to think of it, blackberries. Oh, and plums. Mmm. I like fruit, if you can't tell.

So I went to choir rehearsal for our holiday concert, and found, to my surprise and delight, that a large number of the sophomore, junior, and senior tenors are gay. Like, more than half.

I'm not particularly knowledgeable about berries in general but yes fruit is good. Really any fruit in the right place and  season (Aussie persimmons are a bit blah) but strawberries, nectarines, peaches......good stuff

Pretty much nothing is in season where I am, it's almost winter.

Not really, but it did today. There are, like, 15-ish tenors, and at least 6 of us are at least partially gay. *loud, overstated cough*

Just read a Mistborn dreamcast over at Tor. I was thoroughly ambivalent to most of their choices, with one major exception.

I really, really need to see Ben Kingsley play an Inquisitor now.
