If you open the door before the cycle is finished, you're dosing yourself with a bit of radiation. I heard a story anecdotally about a restaurant that added microwaves as quickie food warmers. This was when they were new and not very well-understood. The restaurant took the door off each microwave so waitresses could quickly pop food in and out. All the waitresses got cancer.

We all laughed and it wasn't awkward. However, there is nothing better than seeing two people leaning towards each other without realizing yet that the other person is doing the same. You can tease the hell out of them without them catching on to the truth... However, as a good friend I can't just tell any of them truth, that is something they have to figure out on their own. I sort of know what you are talking about though. I prefer to have a certain amount of space around me where no one else can be. Bus rides can be pretty uncomfortable. 1
