And now it's apparently my fault JPL hasn't gotten back to me, and they're not going to, because I procrastinated? Even though I only waited because my parents told me not to choose a date until they'd discussed which one would work best for them.

I emailed them on Friday with a proposed date. I'd waited until then to do it because my parents had told me to wait until they'd had a chance to discuss it. And now it's Tuesday, they haven't gotten back to me, and my mom is making it sound like they just decided I wasn't worth the trouble because I "procrastinated."

I think if it's gotten this far they won't drop you for such a little thing at this point. Sometimes stuff comes up and you just can't respond to every email in a timely fashion. That's good. They offered me the position, but it's contingent on my passing the drug test and physical. We're determining a date for me to go down for those things, where I'll also look at apartments. After that, there'll be a week before I get the results of the drug test and physical, and from there I'll need to start within two weeks.
