Kaymyth she/her Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 It'd probably be more fun than that scene, though. I mean, Harry didn't get to eat the key he caught. Speaking of Harry Potter, chapter two of my fic is up. Draco and coffee. Maybe mocha flavoring will help make the Wolfsbane potion go down easier?

Young Bard he/him Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 (edited) Conclusion: The people who voted are wrong. Not actually as unlikely as you might think. My father was extremely disappointed that 'Go set a Watchman' won fiction. Strong language was involved. In fact, a lot of people there voted on what the most famous was, rather than the best. I can understand this, to a certain extent (I mean, you can only vote for books you've read.) But, seriously? 2014 results, Childrens... The Blood of Olympus, officially the greatest waste of money ever to hit the Earth. Edited December 7, 2015 by The Young Bard 1
Mailliw73 he/him Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 ...this from the guy who eagerly bounced in to volunteer to beta read for my Mistborn Era 2 fanfic novel. I've seen your writing and it's good. And I do like Mistborn E2, just not near as much as the first. It's just not in my top 25 or so books. 1
The Honor Spren she/her Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Twilyght, that was some high quality writing. I want to see the next chapter really badly now. 1
Curious Anamaximder he/him Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Twilyght, that was some high quality writing. I want to see the next chapter really badly now. Ditto. You do Draco really well! Best of luck in the future for writing. 1

Speaking of Harry Potter, chapter two of my fic is up. Another nice chapter. Draco is not very good of resisting the allure of Mocha, as it should be. Although, I kind of worry at his inability to memorize that the dollar bill with a 10 on it is worth 10 dollars.I guess they really don't teach math at Hogwarts. Anyone else holding out for Melody revealing herself to be a Muns and start drawing unicorns on the coffe? 2

Voidus Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 I just looked at a youtube comments section on a video about gun control...I think I need a bath. In acid. 2

TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 I just looked at a youtube comments section on a video about gun control... I think I need a bath. In acid. Remember what Arthur Weasley said? "Never trust anything that can think for itself if you can't see where it keeps its brain"? It applies to comments sections too. Those commenters can think for themselves, but you can't see where they keep their brains. Judging by the things they say....well, you probably just read a series of conversations between some rather articulate Horcruxes. 5

If not then you are extremely awesome. I don't even know if what I read can be described as a conversation so much as a series of incoherent screams. "NOT GUNNA TAKE MY GUNS!" "GUNS ARE EVIL AND EVERYONE WHO HAS ONE IS HITLER!" "GUNS ARE JESUS AND IF YOU DON'T HAVE ONE YOU'RE A TERRORIST!" 4

"GUNS ARE JESUS AND IF YOU DON'T HAVE ONE YOU'RE A TERRORIST!" Aw, thanks! The Honest Trailer for Inside Out summed it up this way: "When Joy and Sadness are sucked away on a grand adventure, Riley is left with only your average YouTube comments section--Anger, Fear, and Disgust." It doesn't matter what the video is for. I've seen fights break out over cutesy music videos, and I don't even bother looking at the comments for pug vines. 1

Delightful Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Your avatars just keep getting better and better. Working on em So I just read your fanfic. Oh my wow it's great! I really want to see where it's going, I love the thematic ramifications of Draco of all people interacting with muggles, and lines like these He pushed back his hood in lieu of a smile. “Hi.” Melody smiled in lieu of pushing back a hood. are really poetic and beautiful. I'll be honest and not say it's the best prose I've ever written, nor is it the fastest grabbing most intriguing plot idea I've ever read, but I will say that thematically, the tone, and from a 'soft' character point of view, you're doing great and I really want to read more. In fact, I *like* that it's not fast paced. It really gives this image of a listless Draco who doesn't quite know what to do with himself anymore. I'm interested what's happened to his relationship with his mother. Keep it up! 1

Anyone who can appropriately and accurately quote Arthur Weasley is awesome beyond comprehension. Clearly given the state of the 17th Shard we need to introduce everyone on the internet to Brandon Sandersons novels and then we can cleanse the entire internet and let it be flooded with FTL theories, crack ships, pug pictures and ponies instead. 4

Orlion Blight he/him Posted December 7, 2015 Author Posted December 7, 2015 I think Voidus just proposed that we destroy the Shard!
Voidus Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Not quite, I was suggesting that we use the Shard to destroy everything else. 1
Delightful Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Not quite, I was suggesting that we use the Shard to destroy everything else. I prefer the term "spread peace and democracy" JK JK. not the same thing. PUGS SHALL KONQARR! 6
DanTheSeamonster he/him Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Twi, speaking of pugs, have you heard of these guys? They're a breed of pug called retro mops bred specifically to have longer legs, smaller eyes, and have less health issues due to those features that people usually breed pugs for. I want. Golden Son was quite good. I really liked it a lot! Probably more then SoS(don't shoot me), but then again, I'm not a huge fan of Era 2 Mistborn. It's good and all, but not my favorite. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way! Honestly SoS was a bit of a disappointment for me, I think I had hyped it up in my own mind a lot because I loved AoL so much. Now Golden Son, however was an incredibly awesome rollercoaster of epic. I'm practically frothing at the mouth to get my hands on Morning Star this February. *shoots you* Isn't that a bit......extreme? Not quite, I was suggesting that we use the Shard to destroy everything else. I'm game.
Delightful Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 What's the intent of the 17th shard though? 1
