+Slowswift Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 (edited) I have no idea what that has to do with it, but have an upvote. Well, it is Random Stuff, after all. Thanks! Edited October 9, 2015 by Slowswift 1
Zathoth Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Well, it is Random Stuff, after all. Thanks! That is true, that is very true. Now I shall make an attempt at conversation. Whats up?
Kestrel she/her Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Write about an electrokinetic who can manipulate technology, but accidentally gets sent to an alternate history where everything is steampunk.sadly it was art 1
Zathoth Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 sadly it was art Well, then you dont even need something that makes sense. Draw an eyelephant walking through meatland. Meatland is like candyland, except meat. 2

Meatland is like candyland, except meat. Meatland? That must be what heaven is like...!This is how you can tell me apart from my sisters. They're vegan. I'm... not. 2
Zathoth Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Meatland? That must be what heaven is like...! This is how you can tell me apart from my sisters. They're vegan. I'm... not. I wish I could, I adore animals, I'd eat a human before a cat if I was ever faced with that decision, but I always eat around the vegetables... I would be a terrible vegan XD
ParadoxicalZen he/him Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 (edited) Bonus points if you watch a Mythbusters episode in Astronomy about the moon landing. ...Now I'm intrigued Meatland? That must be what heaven is like...! This is how you can tell me apart from my sisters. They're vegan. I'm... not. I have quite a few vegan friends, and of that few, they're very odd (not because they're vegan) Edited October 9, 2015 by ParadoxSpren
Alfa he/him Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 One time in my university-canteen my friend and I were preparing our coffees. He asked me if there is 1,5%-Milk anywhere. I was so baffed somebody could ever drink fat-reduced-milk I said something like: "Fat-reduced-milk is something for...vegetarians". I am not sure, what I meant with it, but it was pretty random. To my excuse it was relatively early in the morning. 2
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Watching WALL-E tonight. Life is good. 1
Kobold King he/him Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Watching WALL-E tonight. Life is good. Awesome! My family has a cake recipe we call "the Mars cake." We first baked it on the day that liquid water was found on Mars; we expected the cake to be dry and crumby, but it turned out a lot moister than we expected. The name seemed pretty obvious. 1

I'm seeing a ton of Fridge Brilliance this time around. Like the fact that one enormous ship with dozens of EVE probes is used for one robot, utilizes a lot of wasted steps, and presumably runs on a form of fossil fuel despite the Axiom and Earth having technology that has lasted centuries without breaking down and seems to run on clean energy? It shows how wasteful the humans would've had to be, to invent solar technology that lasts and still have no idea how recycling works. That's awesome. What flavor was the cake? 1

I'd never considered that, but it makes a lot of sense. Buy n' Large seemed almost morally opposed to doing anything remotely sustainable--it's a wonder they managed to keep people alive in space for over seven hundred years. Cinnamon, baked with coconut flour. 1
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Huh. I'd never considered that, but it makes a lot of sense. Buy n' Large seemed almost morally opposed to doing anything remotely sustainable--it's a wonder they managed to keep people alive in space for over seven hundred years. Cinnamon, baked with coconut flour. I think it was more just that sustainability didn't occur to them until they needed it to survive. The Axiom is a marvel of sustainable technology; they even have a regenerative food buffet, for crying out loud. They clearly had the means and the knowledge to pursue true sustainability, but they weren't willing to make the sacrifices necessary to make Earth sustainable. So they just shrugged and said "Eh, let's get everyone off the planet and let the robots clean up. It'll be fine." That sounds delicious. I've used coconut flour before, and while I prefer the texture and consistency of wheat flour, coconut does add a nice flavor that wheat can't. 1
Mistrunner Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 How does one survive as an only child? I'm seriously curious. I'm one of six. I do not- I cannot- function without somebody to bug about a new NASA update or talk to about subpar education systems at 11:00 at night or have completely unreasonable arguments with that last for days. But all my siblings left me with their pithy excuses of "I have to go to college," or "I'm getting married," or "I have three kids." No one cares! Get back here, ya knuckleheads! I have no one to call a knucklehead! You're the only people who understand all my Far Side and Calvin and Hobbes references! You've known me for my entire life, you can't back out of this now! YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME 4
Kestrel she/her Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 My copy of shadows of self already has a mile long wait list What do i look like A library 1
Claincy he/him Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Here I am sitting at my desk during a thunderstorm. Not so much doing maths or probability as designing a program (on paper) to calculate probabilities *for* me for an RPG concept I'm working on. Yup. I'm a geek. 3

Zathoth Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 I dont really talk to my sister, Im on the top floor and she is on the bottom floor. So you rant about stuff on the internet? Maybe.
Kestrel she/her Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 (edited) Honestly I'd love to be an only child. My brother is causing a ton of issues. Its not his fault, though, its my parents. They only seem to care about him and seem to think that he's going to be the one who actually accomplishes anything. :/ Ironic, he's only in middle school and is just about the laziest person I know. My mom even said, right to my face- "maybe you can work for him someday!" Um yeah screw off mother bye. Edited October 10, 2015 by LarkoftheRiver 1
RippleGylf she/her Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 On a happier note, I've gotten my brother to start reading The Rithmatist. Apparently Brandon Sanderson-itus is contagious. 1
Kestrel she/her Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Yep, it is. I'm bringing Shadows of Self to the band contest today. Read a lot on the bus because of how long it'll take to get where we're going. 1
Mistrunner Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 (edited) You get a cat.My mom's allergic. Seriously though. Half our time- no, more like ninety percent of our time- was spent arguing, but now I just want somebody to argue with. I'm dying of boredom. Any of my forum siblings willing to move to the middle of nowhere to keep me company? I own a lot of Sanderson books! ...but not Shadows of Self... [/gripe] Edited October 10, 2015 by Mistrunner 1

I'll argue for sport, so long as things don't get nasty. 2
