Metacognition he/him Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Hmmm. I think I'd have to say sell on that one. I could see it, but I think it's unlikely. Elhokar seems like he's a possible soulcaster. With Jasnah and Shallan traveling to the Shattered Plains, I'll bet they help him figure out who and what these unknown "assassins" are. Also, with Dalinar protecting him (and Kaladin protecting Dalinar), I don't think Szeth will stand a chance. This one is kind of a pet theory of mine and I don't know if this has been proven or disproven, but:The Shardholders all knew each other before the breaking of Adonalsium, as in they were a tight-knit group.
Shardbearer he/him Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Buy, I'm pretty sure the Letter hints that they all knew each other. WoR will reveal that Elhokar already knew what the Cryptics were at the end of WoK and he has some nasty, sinister plan hatching.
Pinpoint he/him Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 That's a hard one. I might actually buy. A significant bonded spren will die in WoR
little wilson she/her Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Oh, that's a good one.....Um. Gosh. I can't decide if I want to buy it or sell it.... I'm assuming, because I don't think bonded spren can't truly die, that you mean they'll be Unmade. And in that case, I think I'll buy it. Hesitantly. Let's see. Vasher will lose Nightblood.
Dysphoric Kitten she/her Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Buy. No idea why I do. During Endless Pages, Sylphrena will spend more time larger in a more permanent manner. Either she will spend more time in the ostensibly larger form, or her standard size will grow (or something similar). Having one scene or two with her taller than a chasmfiend does not count. (sub-offer) Numuhukumakiaki'aialunamor will compare her height to the Cryptics'. (ant-offer) Same, but with her shrinking instead. Thank you, Feather! (I think that the more we make offers about Radience before it gets published, the better)
loganmathewjohnson Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Buy. The 17th Shard will eventually find, and likely kill, Hoid.
Aether he/him Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Buy. The 17th Shard will eventually find, and likely kill, Hoid. SELL! BY THE GODS ABOVE, SELL!!! The 17th Shard will eventually find, and likely gently ask Hoid to stop trying to do what he is trying to do. He will gently tell them to This post has been reported for attempting to skirt the rules off.
Dysphoric Kitten she/her Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Buy, but then they all worldhop into ranks, and act as cosmere moral enforcement or whatever, try to lock Hoid away and/or kill him and/or other way of getting rid of him. He kicks them to the storming mists of Scotland (yes, all the way to a different universe. no it is not impossible, it is impossible for anyone other than Hoid, seeing as he just managed to do so), then proceeds purifying awesomeness in his shadesmar-located lab. Either that or they will ask him to lead them. Hoid is ostensibly the Doctor in a super-sneaky and uber-puppetmaster version. Did any of you notice that? Shallan and Shallash will meet. Chaos ensues. [Eric turns around corner, Tal ducks in a panicked shoulder roll] Buy. Please tell us what part you just bought.
loganmathewjohnson Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Sorry, I'm still relatively new at this, forgot to quote it. Just this part. During Endless Pages, Sylphrena will spend more time larger in a more permanent manner. Either she will spend more time in the ostensibly larger form, or her standard size will grow (or something similar). Having one scene or two with her taller than a chasmfiend does not count.
Aether he/him Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Shallan and Shallash will meet. Chaos ensues. [Eric turns around corner, Tal ducks in a panicked shoulder roll] Um, What now? Why would it? And who, in this context, is Eric? I am confused, and I would therefore prefer to sell. Shallan and Shallash will meet, and the latter will angrily destroy her art when the former tries to draw her. 2
GreyPilgrim he/him Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 BUY. MASSIVE BUY. Not every Herald will appear blatantly in the Stormlight Archive. (Meaning they may appear, but not necessarily be named as such.)
bookspren Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 Sell for now. I don't think Hoid will die any time soon. The cosmere needs his awesomeness. Loony idea I had while reading Alcatraz: Alcatraz is actually...wait for it...Hoid; and he broke Adonalsium with his Talent. (And yes, I do realize Alcatraz isn't cosmere, still the offer stands. ) 1
little wilson she/her Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 (edited) Aether, when Tal mentioned Eric, he was meaning Chaos. "Chaos ensues," because Chaos (admin on these here fine forums) is Eric. Loony idea I had while reading Alcatraz: Alcatraz is actually...wait for it...Hoid; and he broke Adonalsium with his Talent. (And yes, I do realize Alcatraz isn't cosmere, still the offer stands. ) As funny as that would be, sell. Because, as you mentioned, Alcatraz isn't part of the Cosmere. Sorry. Let's see....Before the end of Stones Unhallowed, Kaladin will return to Hearthstone. And in some way, shape, or form, will interact with Roshone while there. Edited January 4, 2014 by little wilson
Dysphoric Kitten she/her Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 Um, What now? Why would it? And who, in this context, is Eric? I am confused, and I would therefore prefer to sell. Shallan and Shallash will meet, and the latter will angrily destroy her art when the former tries to draw her. You just described why. Chaos will ensue when a radiant is fighting a herald. Chaos is also an admin here and on MBI. His real name is Eric. 1
Peng the Just he/him Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 (edited) Let's see....Before the end of Stones Unhallowed, Kaladin will return to Hearthstone. And in some way, shape, or form, will interact with Roshone while there. I'll buy that. We will see all ten orders in Words of Radiance. Edited January 17, 2014 by jasonpenguin
ChocolateRob he/him Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Sell. We'll see all eleven orders. There's always another secret. Upon completion of the Stormlight Archive Brandon will acheive Cognitive Transcendence and become as a God. 2
Edgedancer he/him Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Upon completion of the Stormlight Archive Brandon will acheive Cognitive Transcendence and become as a God. Sell. He can achive godhood after writing some more. Allomantic metals/ metals from Scardial showcase special effects when awakend, such as using Breath to fuel the allomantic ability.
Dysphoric Kitten she/her Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Sell. Nor stormlight gems or elantrian lamps. Another person from the Davar family will die in WoR. Subsale: at least one will in every book until Shallan goes on a killing spree.
princess she/her Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 I buy that someone will die, but not one per book. Plus, I don't think Shallan would go on a killing spree. In Nightblood the guy who Vasher is talking about at the end will have created his own version of Nightblood, only it will be evil.
Unknowingly he/him Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 buy, Hoid is actually a bad guy and we just dont realize it...
Dysphoric Kitten she/her Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 No. Just... No. (also, I can easily define nightblood as evil) In Endless Pages, we will meet people whom Numuhukumakiaki'aialunamor knew. Or from the keeps. But still.
Dysphoric Kitten she/her Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Buy. And one will later become a KR. Preferably Numuhukumakiaki'aialunamor himself. Wit will have a personal life onscreen in WoR. Maybe a romance? 1
Eri she/her Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 (edited) Buy! Even if it's unlikely, I love the idea. Hoid/Shallan is my OTP (yeah, age difference, I know) My guess: Vasher will die in the sequel. (why? well, he's Vivienna's mentor, he's a Returned, he's got a lot of things to feel guilty about...) Edited February 12, 2014 by Eri
Sart he/him Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Buy. It seems poetic that all of the original five will be dead when the book ends. A member of Shallan's family (besides Shallan) gets a view point chapter in Words of Radiance.
