firstRainbowRose she/her Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 First off, if you want to post spoilers, do so in the tags! I want this to be open to everyone! So, the rules are simple. I will post an idea of something that I think will happen in one of the later books. From there, the next person will first say if they buy (can believe) or sell (no way that's going to happen!) this idea. They will then post their idea of what is going to happen. So first off: I think that the King's Wit shall be seen in WoR. 2
GreyPilgrim he/him Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 I buy it. I think that Ironeyes will make an appearance in Shadows of Self.
Kurkistan he/him Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 I buy it. I think that Rithmatist Spoilers Joel will never become a Rithmatist
firstRainbowRose she/her Posted September 22, 2013 Author Posted September 22, 2013 Sell. I think, based on the fact that there is already one song in evidence, that WoR will end up being a musical, similar to the way that TLotR books are constantly filled with songs. 1
aeromancer he/him Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 I buy. Atium has powers we have yet to discover. 1
Windrunner he/him Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 Buy. That was an easy one.Spoiler Emperor's Soul Shai's hunt for Hoid will result in her becoming a member of the Seventeenth Shard. 3
Claincy he/him Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Ooh. I'll buy =) In Nightblood: Vasher will kill Yesteel. You know, just to make it a bit of a homicidal hat trick He's already killed the other 3 of the 5 scholars after all. 5
Gamma Fiend he/him Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Ooooh. Tough. Sell. Vasher might be too busy and that might be left for later books.Elantris Sequel: Hoid will make an appearance, or Galladon begins initiation into 17th Shard 1
Observer Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Buy. When does he not appear? By the second trilogy, Wax and Wayne will be largely forgotten by everyone. 2
GreyPilgrim he/him Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Sell. Maybe Wayne, but not Wax. Dalinar will die in the first Stormlight cycle (meaning before book 6). 1
firstRainbowRose she/her Posted September 23, 2013 Author Posted September 23, 2013 I'll buy that. Once we finally get Hoid's story, we (even those of us who are kind of in the know) are going to be blown away by what we read. His story is going to be more intense than anyone can guess. 2
Kurkistan he/him Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Buy. Our understanding of Realmatics as is is fairly accurate, and will not be brutally eviscerated by another book down the line.
Satsuoni he/him Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Buy. In WoR, Kaladin would get a Plate somewhere around his fight with Szeth. 1
jag519 he/him Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Sell Odium isn't the main cause of the problems on Roshar
Sabrina Stormshard she/her Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Sell, I think there'll be a Kaladin-Amaram confrontation in WoR 1
aeromancer he/him Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Buy. Greater and Lesser Roshar will interact at some point in Stormlight Archive 1
firstRainbowRose she/her Posted September 24, 2013 Author Posted September 24, 2013 Sell! I think that Lord Joshin and his lovely, wonderful, charming (just kidding) wife will show up on another world at some point. 3
Mailliw73 he/him Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Sell. Sorry, I just don't think your characters play that big of a role. (Unless you convince Brandon to put them in again. ) I think we will see a full compounder Mistborn Feruchemist thingy (which I call a Fullborn) in one of the next two trilogies. 2
GreyPilgrim he/him Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Buy, if only because I really want this to happen. But a Fullborn, as you say, has so much potential, so much to explore, that I don't think Brandon will be able to resist. At least one of the protagonists of The Stormlight Archive will hold, or at least touch (ala Well of Ascension) the full power of a Shard at some point over the course of the series. 1
Observer Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Sell, it's been done before in another book, and cosmere stuff isn't usually needed to get stuff. The next Elantris book will shatter our view of realmatics. 1
makromag he/him Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Sell, I don't think Brandon Sanderson is one to throw a lot of important rules out the window We will found out the identities of all Heralds in Words of Radiance.
aeromancer he/him Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Sell. Hoid is less powerful than we think, he just has a aura of mystery that lends itself to formidably. 1
makromag he/him Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Buy. TWoK spoiler Dalinar will get another set of Shardblade and -plate. 1
Two McMillion he/him Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Buy. Hoid is the villain of the Cosmere saga.
firstRainbowRose she/her Posted September 25, 2013 Author Posted September 25, 2013 Sell. I think he's planning on doing good, just in a different way than most people would like. Vivenna is going to end up hooking up with Vasher in "Nightblood".
