makromag he/him Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 (edited) Sell, while I do think there is a conflict between her and Hoid, I don't think that she is the founder of the seventeenth shard. WoR spoiler, possible WoK spoiler Shen, the parshman of bridge 4, will get a spren or whatever it is that parshmen need to change forms. He will change forms and through him we will discover a lot about the parshendi Edited October 18, 2013 by Makromag
Chaos he/him Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 I'll buy. But I don't know if it would happen in Words of Radiance. Maybe in Eshonai's book. Nightblood will be destroyed in the sequel to Warbreaker.
Observer Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 (edited) Sell, though I do think we may get to see more of his kind. One of the book 3 plot twists will be the ardents discovering Jasnah and/or Shallan's soulcasting abilities are their own. Edited in spoilers. Edited October 19, 2013 by Observer
makromag he/him Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 Buy, I think they won't try to keep it secret forever anyway. It will be a long time until Kaladin gets a love interest, if at all.
FeatherWriter she/her Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 I'll buy, if only because that's my personal preference for him. How about Jasnah getting a love interest somewhere down the line? 1
Observer Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Sell, because: Jasnah will die withing the first few books, being just one of Shallan's many mentors.
Mailliw73 he/him Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Sell, sell. No, sorry. Adolin will never be able to really settle down with one girl, unless there is one that is absolutely perfect for him.
makromag he/him Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Sell, I think there will be something important about Danlan. Kaladin will tell Dalinar about his surgebinding willingly. 1
FeatherWriter she/her Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 I'm gonna go Sell. I think Kaladin's going to be forced to reveal his powers long before he reaches a point of trust with Dalinar where he'd willing share that. Amaram and Kaladin's meeting will be non-violent.
Mailliw73 he/him Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Sorry, Sell. I don't think Kal would be willing to do that, unless he were restrained or forced not to. Kaladin will never use a shardblade.
Gamma Fiend he/him Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Buy. Because I think there's already been speculation on a Shardspear existing. We may get Epigraphs in future books that are translations of Parshendi Chants. 1
Unknowingly he/him Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Buy, that would be a fun little end page to have. When Szeth comes to assassinate Dalinar and Kaladin uses his Windrunner abilities to protect him, Szeth will see it as an opportunity to die and ignore Kaladin and focus on Dalinar, leaving him exposed to Kaladins attack but still following his orders to kill Dalinar. Kaladin will injure him and not kill him because he will see it as an opportunity to learn more about his abilities.
firstRainbowRose she/her Posted October 21, 2013 Author Posted October 21, 2013 Buy. Each book published so far has a secret message hidden in it, and the master key to this message will be in WoR.
Gamma Fiend he/him Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Buy. Because I wouldn't put it past Brandon and his team to do something that convoluted.Kaladin will eventually run back into the slaver to sold him to Saldeas' army.
FeatherWriter she/her Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Tvlakv? I'll buy, if only because I want more chances to say his name aloud! Two English non-standard affricates in a name? Sign me up! Axies the Collector will meet up with one of the main viewpoint characters. IE, we'll see him outside of an Interlude. 1
WeiryWriter he/him Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 BUY! IT MUST HAPPEN! Rysn will end up being an incredibly influential merchant, whose power rivals many nobles by end of the Stormlight Archive.
Unknowingly he/him Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Buy, it seems almost inevitable, plus she has a really good teacher Szeth will be freed from his Truthlessness on book 3
makromag he/him Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Sell, Somehow I just don't see anything good happening to our poor baldy. The fish at the purelake are actually magical.
Kurkistan he/him Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Yes. Southern Scadrian techno-magic uses Hemalurgy.
FeatherWriter she/her Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 (edited) EDIT: INSTA-NINJA'D BY KURK. I'll buy. Certainly wouldn't be the strangest magic system we've seen thus far. I'll go ahead and buy that one though. Brandon did say the "Three Metalic arts" are in use there, right? We've had a lot of Stormlight, so I'll flip back to Scadrial. How about this: No one on Scadrial will ever figure out that Wax and Wayne's names together are punny. Edited October 22, 2013 by FeatherWriter 2
Mailliw73 he/him Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Buy, I'm putting this in spoilers for the shardhunt, just to be safe. Well, they don't have a moon. Dalinar will die in SA. (Not that I want him to but I think he is a likely option for the standard Sanderson-main-character-sacrifice.)
Observer Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Buy, definately. In the future mistborn series they will have found a use for gnats.
Unknowingly he/him Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Buy, they'll probably have to become savants first Kelsier is going to cause quite a bit of trouble in future cosmere books
Mailliw73 he/him Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Of course, buy. There will be a viewpoint character at some point that is a Gnat. 1
Gamma Fiend he/him Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Buy. Hopefully it's one of those earlier mentioned savants. The Parshendi Shardbearer that fought Dalinar in WoK was Klade from the encampment that him and Galivar found
