Long Game 14: To Shatter a Shard

Shards just have to invest the same cycle they use their shardic ability. Day or night doesn't really matter. Pretty sure I clarified that somewhere.

So what you're saying is that there couldn't have been a champion kill last night, because Odium didn't use his shardic ability until last night?

If another attack was made, I forsee three options:

  • Would-be-victim was protected by Honor/Lashing (in which case they would be informed of the attack / that they were saved)
  • Would-be-victim was Preservation (or Survival) or protected by Survival (same case as above)
  • Would-be-victim was protected by their own Lifeless or another's (I assume the Operator is informed of the death)

In all of these situations I don't believe the identity of the attacker would be revealed, so it's not a lead that can be followed thoroughly enough unless the would-be-victim has an idea of who would attack them, which seems unlikely this early because most likely the target was one of the more experienced players that the OCs know will be better off dead sooner rather than later.

If any of those things had happened, it would have been revealed that someone was attacked, but survived in the writeup.

Madame Endowment,

I have found the elusive worldhopper who assumes the name Hoid. If you wouldn't mind terribly, contact me privately through Lady Cultivation and I can provide you the name of our tricky friend. Then you can Invest him with Ruin, granting the Village another kill role.

Thank you muchly in advance,

Maw, humble farmer

The shard of Ruin, when invested, will permanently grant a player the ability to Roleblock. Ruin's kill has been lost. Only Endowment can Kill.

Oh, got it. Dang changes from the original. :P Either way, Endowment.

Wow, how did that humble farmer get that kind of information? Are you really a humble farmer? Maybe that's what you want us to think! You can Worldhop and you know Hoid, there is more to you than meets the eye it seems.

Seeing as I don't wish to die by any vote manipulations I shall have to vote for someone.

Paranoid King.  Sorry, it's nothing personal.

So, I recognize that this is very close to the end of the cycle, but in going to pull my vote off of Paranoid King. I'm nowhere near confident enough off guilt or even suspicious behavior top lynch him, especially when we've list 2 shards already.

And there has been an extension called for. This cycle will end in Twenty Four hours (And five minutes) From this post.

EDIT: I'm going to bed. See y'all tomorrow.

I will not be on much today. I feel like today should be a Brandon Sanderson holiday. The Nebraska Cornhuskers are playing the BYU Cougars. Brandon is from Lincoln and teaches at BYU.

I live in Lincoln and have a tailgating spot and have already had too much to drink.......... I would like to wish good luck to the Cougars and apologize for the loss. Good day my friends.

I am going to place a vote on Paranoid King. He has been suspicious to me for some time, in connection with thinking that Orlok was Cultivation. (Full disclosure: I thought Orlok was Cultivation for a while, due to a weird PM) At any rate, very few people knew at the time that Orlok was a main suspect for Cultivation, and PK was one of them.

So Kipper is voting PK because PK supposedly though that Orlok was Cultivation, but at the same time Kipper confesses to thinking that Orlok was Cultivation?
