Long Game 14: To Shatter a Shard

With that in mind...I am only more suspicious of phattemer.

I would like to point out that Antillar Maximus, who is my brother IRL, is unable to continue in this game. So I don't know what is going on with pinch-hitting and so forth, but I just wanted to throw that out there. I'm going to put my vote on Mailliw for now. He has been on here and made a post but didn't really say anything helpful. I am also a bit suspect of all of the people during the last cycle that flooded the thread with PM requests rather than listing all of them at once. It just doesn't seem like normal behavior. On that note, however, it seems like most people are taking this game on a less serious note than previous ones, which is fine. But it does make the thread a bit hard to follow. I suppose after 10 or so of us are dead that behavior might go a way a little faster :D.

Well (for me) the game has to be taken more casually if you can't make PMs with people at will, as you can't have multiple PMs with people who you can talk to but just deal with what's given to you :/

I am always violent. I had a kill role in MR7, always tried for the Assassin in QF8, was an Eliminator in QF9, and I am still alive in this and MR8.

There were very, very few people who knew Orlok's real role. Of those people, only one is less trustworthy than the others, but that one person claimed to be a Normal Worldhopper, and Orlok was going to invest in that person this coming cycle. This person knew that, so I see no reason why they would've arranged for Devotion's death if they were about to gain a minor role, unless they were lying about their role. I kind of doubt that was the case. Especially since there is a far more plausible explanation.

If the OC's didn't know Orlok's real role, they must've suspected he was a Shard, since Odium went after him. If not Devotion, who?

There were a number of rumors circulating at various points during the first cycle. Among those was that Orlok was Cultivation. This seemed to have died down by the end of the cycle, but I'm starting to think it didn't actually. I think the OC's still thought that Orlok was Cultivation, so they killed him.

My highest suspect on the list of people who were convinced at one point that Orlok was Cultivation is Alvron.

To the Bloodsealer who killed Winter: If you are villager, tell someone you trust that you are responsible. If you are an OC....well. If the Bloodsealer who killed Winter is an OC, that also reflects back to Alv, since he was in a PM with Winter. I'm checking with the third person in that PM to see if she said anything at all that might've indicated she had a kill role. I kind of doubt she did, but if she did, it condemns Alv even more. If she didn't, there are a number of other people who could've done it, one of whom is just under Alv in terms of suspects, but I'll keep their identity hidden until I have a better idea of what happened.

Yes, at one point I thought Orlok was Cultivation.  However that was due to a misunderstanding of the rules.  In one of the PMs I was in I was asked what other PMs I was in and when I told them that I had a one on one PM (It was with Orlok but I didn't reveal that) one of the others asked me to pass them a message to get in contact with that person.  I told them that I didn't think that person was Cultivation but after they pointed out the rule about Cultivation only able to make 3 person PMs without having to be in them, I agreed to pass on the message.  However right after I did that I asked Joe for clarification and once Joe told me that Cultivation could indeed make one on one PMs without having to be in them that I stopped thinking Orlok was Cultivation  Both before and after this I didn't consider Orlok to be Cultivation.  This confusion lasted a grand total of 3 hours.  I even went back to the person who had asked me to pass on the message and told them of the clarification.

If you have more questions Wilson, please ask them in PM as there are somethings I really don't want the eliminators to think about.

Edit:  Finished a dropped sentence.

Yo, I am here. I haven't posted because there hasn't been much for me to say. I have been keeping up on PMs and actions though. I am active, I just have limited windows of activity on the shard. I don't have any current suspicions, but if there is anybody I will report it.

Edit: Oh yeah, Cultivation if you could please hook me up with some more PMs that would be awesome, I don't have any requests, just whatever you think, Thank you.

Listen up, kids. Today, I'm going to teach you about a kind of logical fallacy called the ad hominem attack...

I starting to think that Kipper might be Lightsworn Panda in disguise

Also I second the suspicion against Phaterner, but I'm not going to vote this round (for now)

As I've told one or two people, not been super engaged in the game so far - while I've kept up with reading everything, the free time I'd normally have has been consumed by uni and events put on by my old school. Today's also busy, but then going forward I should have the brain space spare.

I guess the sheer number of abilities in this game, and the fact that they can shift around means I haven't got a handle on how to go about this.

Stink, did you have a particular point you wanted me to respond to?

Why? I was being funny.

Today I'm going to teach you about why you should never be funny during an execution, kids.

I have changed my name back! Anyone who noticed I changed it gets to ask me one question, which I will answer truthfully to the best of my ability. Here is a question that has already been asked:

Q: "Do you know of any Awakeners?" (n.b. I did not answer yes/no, though I could have.)

A: "Vasher and Vivenna." (here you see I answer the intent of the question.)

Hey, I'm just gonna say that tommorrow's weekend for me and weekend is a weird time for me. I don't know if I'll be able to be online or not. Or, maybe you'll see viewing the thread but it doesn't mean I'll be actually in front the computer IRL. IDK. As I've said, weekend's weird for me. Edited by nicocoberru

I will retract my vote on phattemer for the time being.

Thanks for speaking, Hael.

Anyone know of anyone else that has been viewing the thread, but not speaking up?

Posted (edited)

Nico, you've been talking a fair bit, but haven't contributed much to actual discussion. Any thoughts on the proposed lynchees so far?

Edit: Just realized he said he'll be away for the weekend.

EDIT: Alvom, what do you think about this game?

Well, I think that I am mostly lost, but that's because there's so many conversations going on that I have no access to, so I'm currently attempting to put some pieces together (such as who Wilson might have been referring to that knew Orlok's identity).

So, it sucks Winter was killed by a bloodsealer; I am curious how they knew she was Ruin, and whether or not they are evil. As for Devotion being shattered, that means we can't obtain alternate (minor) roles now based on our world, right? If not, which is the most active so that I can get more involved?

Roshar is dead right now, but it could pick up next cycle.

Also, I've been thinking about the write-up a little bit. Odium made a kill, a Bloodsealer made a kill, but Odium's investee did not. I asked Joe, and he said that there are three circumstances under which a kill attempt would not be shown in the write-up:

1 - Nobody actually put in the order

2 - If the Champion hits a Shard (or, presumably, if Odium hits a non-Shard)

3 - The kill was roleblocked

So if anyone put in a roleblock order last night, now would be a good time to make it known, so we can lynch the roleblocked champion.

Seonid, I don't think they can Invest AND using the new ability in the same night, can they? Or can Odium invest during the day?
