The Invested Beard Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 No I haven't, but I will definitely check them out. Thanks for the suggestion! Happy listening.
azninvasion99 he/him Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 (edited) Happy listening. I listened to their latest album at work, really good! I'll have to dive into the rest of their discography. Also, RIP Keith Emerson. Listening to Tarkus in his honor. Edited March 12, 2016 by azninvasion99 2
Zathoth Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 They really need to stop dying, this is making me sad... Voivod - Post Society New ep from my favorite Prog Metal band, sounds awesome as always.
Oversleep Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 (edited) "More Than A Feeling" by Boston from "Boston". But that's right now, I recently listen to various OSTs as I'm learning. The Invested Beard Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 I'll just leave this here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebtC3ORg9fU
Zathoth Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Crimson Glory - Lost Reflection Crimson Glorys two first album are seriously some of the best Metal to ever be recorded.
BreathTaker he/him Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Surprisingly, I'm listening to Mac Lethal and Eminem. I don't usually but it felt like a good night to listen to some rap.
Amrynn he/him Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 I've been listening to Castle of Glass by Linkin Park on repeat for all of today. I'm trying to resist my urge to memorize songs I like because then I inevitably end up getting sick of them, but it's worming its way there. BreathTaker, have you by any chance listened to any of Watsky's work? He's a spoken word poet turned rapper, so he mainly focuses on lyricism, but he's definitely got a fast rap element to his songs.
DreamEternal Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 (edited) Listening to Nightwish(first and second Eras, as I don't really like the way Floor sings), and Sonata Arctica. Sometimes throwing Woodkid into the mix when I am not in the mood for Symphonic Power Metal. I've also recently discovered Stratovarius and Metric, the former being metal from Finland like Nightwish and SA and the later being something from Canada, but I still am not sure what exactly. Blaze1616 he/him Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Listening to Nightwish(first and second Eras, as I don't really like the way Floor sings), and Sonata Arctica. Is their tour coming your way? It was awesome when they were in my neck of the woods in Feb.
IndigoAjah he/him Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 The full work of the Amateur Transplants
DreamEternal Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Is their tour coming your way? It was awesome when they were in my neck of the woods in Feb. Not checked. Truth to be told, I feel somewhat afraid of going to live concerts. All those people standing together...
The Honor Spren she/her Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 I've started listening to Hamilton, the broadway play. I can feel an obsession starting to bud. I'd recommend it to everybody, but if you want to stay away from explicit content (like me) skip the song labeled "Say No to This"
Ookla the Absent Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Sabaton. Wish I'd had this during high school history class... 2
Sunbird she/her Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Just listened to "Still Alive" and "Want You Gone" from the Portal games.
The Invested Beard Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 The Catalyst Fire by Dead Letter Circus. Good proggy Aussie rock.
Sunbird she/her Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 The album "Alpocalypse" by Weird Al Yankovic. 1
The Invested Beard Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 The album "Alpocalypse" by Weird Al Yankovic. yesssssssss
The Invested Beard Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 (edited) Big Star - #1 record If you haven't heard of these guys, there's a really interesting documentary on Netflix about them. They were a 70's band that in my opinion were waaaaay ahead of their time musically, got all kinds of critical acclaim, but due to poor management by the label they were under and a bunch of other weird unfortunate coincidences never got commercially successful. They inspired all kinds of big names in rock, but were almost unknown. Sad, weird story but man oh man, every song they wrote on their first two albums should have been a hit single. *edit* You may know a cover version of one of their songs as the theme song from That 70's Show.
