Emeralis00 she/her Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 I would like to announce that I am finally back from Northern Wisconsin.
FeatherWriter she/her Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 I would like to announce that I only need one more up vote to have a reputation of 50! Mwahaha! I may not be able to dethrone Chaos in post count, but I can beat his reputation!
Comatose he/him Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 I would like to announce it was allergies, Oreos baked in chocolate chip cookie dough taste amazing, AND I just watched Monster's Inc for the first time in ages.
KChan she/her Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 I would like to announce that the semester is almost over! Yay!
Link Von Kelsier Harvey he/him Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 I would like to announce that I own a Nintendo 3DS!
KChan she/her Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 I would like to announce that something awesome has happened. X3

Emeralis00 she/her Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 (edited) I would like to announce that Osama bin Laden is dead, and his body is in US hands. Obama to speak soon with more details. Darn, I wanted to say it... EDIT: beaten by two minutes Edited May 2, 2011 by Emeralis00
Eerongal he/him Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 I would like to announce that i was just offered a position today making 40 bucks an hour, which after much thought I have accepted. This unfortunately means I will be moving out of the St. Louis area in missouri and out to Des Moines, Iowa. So basically my entire life will be changing here in the next two weeks. Any other sharders live around Des Moines? 1
Eerongal he/him Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Wow, congrats, Eeron! That's quite a paycheck! Yeah, i'm pretty stoked, but at the same time a bit nervous about the "your entire life is about to change" thing
Silus - Shard of Flame he/him Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 That's awesome! Wait, you live in St Louis? You should totally read The Meq. A lot of what happens is centered around there. Don't you think he should read it, Emeralis?
Eerongal he/him Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 That's awesome! Wait, you live in St Louis? You should totally read The Meq. A lot of what happens is centered around there. Don't you think he should read it, Emeralis? Well, the greater St. Louis area. And since most people dont know what that means unless they live here: I live in an area that's technically not st louis, but is considered part of st louis, as most parts of st louis are actually there own independent city that just kinda got absorbed over the years.
Emeralis00 she/her Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Yes, Eero, read the Meq. *waves hand* You feel a sudden desire to read The Meq.
Eerongal he/him Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 speaking of reading, i'd also like to add this announcement which i technically should have posted yesterday: I picked up about 40-50 books (some for me, some for the fiancée) yesterday at the greater st. louis book fair. i have a lot of work to do.....
CrazyRioter she/her Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 you must have a minivan to fit all those in.
Chaos he/him Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 I am extremely jealous of you, Eero. For both the cash and the books. In other news, I would like to announce that car alarms have only one positive use: annoying burglars so much that they don't want to steal your car. Otherwise, I'd say it's at least ten times more likely to be utterly annoying.
Emeralis00 she/her Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 I am going to take on D&D Tomb of Horrors. ... Pray for my soul. 1
Eerongal he/him Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 I am going to take on D&D Tomb of Horrors. ... Pray for my soul. That's a fun one. My group and I did that one a while back (i was DMing), the 3.5 revision. Many character deaths abound.
Emeralis00 she/her Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 That's a fun one. My group and I did that one a while back (i was DMing), the 3.5 revision. Many character deaths abound. Any recommendation on classes? (not what is coming.)
trendkill he/him Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 (edited) I would like to announce.... That I haz no reputations!! Probably due to my extended absence from the forums. </begging for digital karma> Anyhow, I am back! Work has just been so crazy the past few months that I usually haven't had time to get on, and when I do have the time, I just didn't think about it because I got out of the habit. I'm not sure how often I'll be able to post, but I will throw in my two cents when I feel that someone needs some change! Edited May 5, 2011 by trendkill
Eerongal he/him Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Any recommendation on classes? (not what is coming.) Rogue focused on traps with a 10-foot pole. Srsly. But yeah, keep in mind this dungeon was written back in the day of the quintessential party, a rogue, a beefy meat-wagon, a caster, and a healer. Not filling one of these roles could be disastrous.
Emeralis00 she/her Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Rogue focused on traps with a 10-foot pole. Srsly. But yeah, keep in mind this dungeon was written back in the day of the quintessential party, a rogue, a beefy meat-wagon, a caster, and a healer. Not filling one of these roles could be disastrous. you are the tenth person to suggest a 10 foot pole and a rogue. Currently, my rogue has a 24 in DEX, +17 to reflex and two 10-foot poles. One of my backups, the sorcerer, has approximately 350 pounds of equipment. (he also focuses in summoning) I have two more backups that I need to fill...
Eerongal he/him Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 you are the tenth person to suggest a 10 foot pole and a rogue. well, it's considered a staple for any party with good reason Pending on the rest of the party, and what books you have access to, i would go with some of the following as backup ideas: a wizard/warmage (or sorcerer)/ultimate magus combo (warmage packs a battle punch casted spontaneously, and wizard for utility) a fighter/sorcerer/abjurant champion (focus on buff spells like shield and such to make a pretty beefy fighter type) a barbarian/bear warrior or frenzied berserker (frenzied berserker for damage, bear warrior for more tankish build. also note that frenzied berserker should only be chosen if the party is willing to live with you) a cleric/radiant servent of pelor for heal-tastic healing, especially if your DM allows domain spontaneity shenanigans Be warned: i'm a self-confessed powergamer, so taking too many of my suggestions might make your DM upset with a possible power imbalance Edit: of course, this is all moot if theyve made a 4th ed revision of this module im not aware of
