Rebecca she/her Posted October 27, 2017 Posted October 27, 2017 When your dad says something about spiked punch, and you immediately think that the punch has hemurgalic spikes in it. When you're typing an essay for Astronomy, and you keep accidentally putting Cosmere in the place of solar system, galaxy, universe, etc. 3

CaptainRyan he/him Posted October 27, 2017 Posted October 27, 2017 (edited) The company I am working at is celebrating the launch of our new product today. My calendar reminder popped up saying "Ship party" in 15 minutes. I groaned inwardly as my mind first assumed it meant that I was going to a party where everyone debates who they "ship" in the various series. Edited October 27, 2017 by CaptainRyan 4

Rebecca she/her Posted October 28, 2017 Posted October 28, 2017 When your brother is complaining about how his stubbed toe hurts, and you tell him, "Well, at least it won't hurt like that forever. You should be grateful that you aren't an Elantrian!" 4
KnightGradient Posted October 28, 2017 Posted October 28, 2017 When you are reading the climax of Words of Radiance during a thunderstorm, and get the incredibly stupid idea of reading through it in the rain. Don't get me wrong, it was the greatest reading experience I've ever had, but my hardcover copy is missing its hardcover. 1

I scraped that off, then cut a line into the center of the scraped off part, so more light could get through. It was very delicate work. I couldn't cut all the way through, that would just be impossible to do that and get the level of detail. So scraping off the top layer does the trick. Cutting a line into the center of that just makes it look better.

When you're watching How to Train your Dragon with your younger siblings, and you are on the Shard, and listening to the WoR audiobook. (Only 8 chapters left). The Assassin in Black, Toothless of Shinovar. 3

Rebecca she/her Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 When you go to a family Halloween Party dressed as a Mistborn, and no one knows who you are. My aunt called me the Grim Reaper, and a cousin called me a dementor. But luckily, I have a cousin who does read Sanderson, and he came later in the day, but he knew who I was. It made me so happy that someone understood my costume. 2
Ammanas Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 @Rebecca You should of thrown some coins at the people who got your costume wrong! 3
Rebecca she/her Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 (edited) @Ammanas Ya, I should have. I had the coins on me. Edited October 29, 2017 by Rebecca

Sami she/her Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 (edited) When you are so insanely busy that's you barely have time to finish all of your overdue assignments and have to stay up past midnight to finish them - but of course, there's definitely enough time to check the Shard and reread WoR a couple of times... Taliax none (name only) Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 I went to a Halloween party at BYU dressed as Vin, and at least ten people knew my costume. I also saw another Mistborn there. I was actually surprised there were that many people that got it, and then I got to talk about Oathbringer with several of them and it was great 1
Tesh Any pronouns Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 I just finished my pumpkin! It took forever. But it was worth it. Very much so. 9
