TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted April 12, 2015 Author Posted April 12, 2015 Names are already a good first step. Yeah, so good. Talking about Euphoria, Comatose have you actually worked out that tier system she mentioned? (We also totally have to add Decoy to the list of worst Epic names ever. ) I mentioned mobiles once or twice. Otherwise Lucentia would still be in Astoria and have no clue were Nighthound currently is. Otherwise, I didn't have much reason to use them. p.s. New Voidgaze segment up. I have a worse one. Tobogganlips McCupboardcake. 2
Kobold King he/him Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 I have a worse one. Tobogganlips McCupboardcake. I have a worse one. Danny Cuddlemuffin. 2
Kobold King he/him Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Ehem... Captain Sillypants. Monsieur Monkey Business. 2
Kestrel she/her Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Agreed, I am generally terrible at naming my Epics, as shown in an Epic I made around Christmas: TheEpicFormerlyKnownAsJohnWhoHasThesePowersI think that's beautiful. Its not even the Epic name yet though. Its. The real name. Which consists of me going on some name website, picking one that sounds good, then sticking a generic last name on it and voila, instant character. So I'm still at step one with this.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted April 12, 2015 Author Posted April 12, 2015 Ehem... Captain Sillypants. The Dark Lord Happypants. 3
Voidus Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 The Dark Lord Happypants. Lord of the Rings would have been so much better if Sauron had been called the Dark Lord Happypants. Some authors just don't have Twi's sense of awesome naming. *shakes head* 3

Edgedancer he/him Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 The Dark Lord Happypants. That isn't the true worst name. The true worst Epic name is Nighthound's BFF. By the way, I now have a pug plushy. 1

TheSilverDragon he/him Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Could we get the exact specs of her powers first? Powers: Energy absorption. She can absorb any type of energy, and store it, but it leaks out slowly. That means that she can't keep a bunch of energy, but in a fight, she could retain more, since her retention rate is tied to her emotions. Angry, the slower it gets leaked, calm, the faster it gets leaked. Energy conversion: She can convert any of her stored energy onto any other kind f energy Energy releasetion: She can release her stored energy. She can't release all f it at once thought. She can release energy proportional to how much she already has, about 35%. Reincarnation: when she dies, all stored energy is released, and her body is then reformed out of a moderate to large explosion. The exploration has to be at least as big as she s, but can be bigger. When she reformed, she absorbs all of the energy from the exploration.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted April 12, 2015 Author Posted April 12, 2015 Funtimes is inside a building, though.
Voidus Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Edward Chaddingsworth the twelfth.I want to punch my own brain for the mental image this name inspired. 1

Like the energy needed to move x in a minute. 3

Edgedancer he/him Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 I wish my paperbacks looked half as good as that, mine have about a million creases running through them. Most of my books are in good shape. Mostly because I don't do a lot of rereads. I absorb a lot of info on my first read and there are simply so many books I still want to read that doing several rereads seems like a waste to me, even if the books are good.

I'll go back and reread my favorite scenes (or scenes that give pertinent info for this RP) but for the most part I just move on to the next book.
Voidus Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 I have pretty great recall but I still love re-reads, I'm on my 3rd copy of a couple of Wheel of Time books because the covers get so worn.

Edgedancer he/him Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Mailliw, I might be a bit early with this question but would Altermind be able to equip a special unit with paintball guns? 1

Care to guess at my master plan that I'm struggling hard not to name after a Sanderson reference? Talking about important questions, Kobold, what would the instructions for the city guard be in cases like Frostfire just storming out? Edited April 12, 2015 by Edgedancer

Edgedancer he/him Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 A team of paintball warriors who fire white paintballs at the enemy to give Voidgaze something to target? Such a special unit would under no circumstances be called the Voidbringers, unless I give in to my inner reference maker. 2
