Well, practice was what got me to the point that writing is (more or less) effortless; I still struggle with what should happen next, but getting the words on paper isn't difficult anymore. Then I managed to find a story I felt I had to tell, one that was developed enough for me to begin writing and figure the finer details out along the way. Other than that, I mostly just tell myself "Okay, you have to write 350 words every day, 150 at the bare minimum. Anything more than that is awesome." Edited April 2, 2017 by TwiLyghtSansSparkles 1
Darkness Ascendant he/him Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Congratulations @TwiLyghtSansSparkles For actually attempting to finish something you've started...unlike yours truly...heh... 1

Tristan Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 My good news is that I got a gym membership for the first time ever today. We'll see if that still classifies as good news tomorrow...
StrikerEZ he/him Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 So, I'm gonna be trying out for drum major in...about 11 days. I'm not ready at all, and my application is do next Monday. I'm really excited and I hope I can get to Phase II of the audition process, but you never know I guess. 3

I'm very much a discovery writer, and combine that with the fact I'm not even halfway through the first draft, and you get a story that likely has any seeds of brilliance buried beneath a thick layer of floundering. I'll need the second draft to make some sense of the things I'm throwing together, and I'm hopeful I'll be able to get it published one day. (Hopeful, not certain. I know how competitive the publishing industry is.) 3 minutes ago, Hemalurgic_Headshot said: I'm going on a trip to Washington D.C. tomorrow! History stuff and monuments! I am jealous. 2

Claincy he/him Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 I felt "bad" today. Which was a distinct improvement! (Claincy has not been having the best time healthwise for the last couple of weeks/3 and a half years.)

Sunbird she/her Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 So yesterday I posted in the Bad Day thread about my sleep deprivation, but overall yesterday was actually quite wonderful. The weather was so beautiful that I ended up using my between-classes break to bird on campus instead of napping as I'd originally planned, and that left me in a happy mood the whole rest of the day despite almost nodding off in one of my afternoon classes. The moral of the story: birdwatching fixes everything. 1

I haven't met many people with the same issue. I have a headache that started Jan 2014 and has been constant since, but like you said, it fluctuates from day to day or week to week. Edit: Which is to say, I'm really glad you get a day (hopefully more) of just painful instead of debilitating. Those days are nice. Edited April 4, 2017 by Jondesu

From what you've said in the past I think the cause is likely different but the result is somewhat similar. Most people with headache issues do seem to have frequent severe headaches rather than a fluctuating constant one and that is what most people assume when you talk about chronic headaches. For me the suspected cause is sinus issues. Edited April 4, 2017 by Claincy

I'm headed up to the Mayo Clinic in a couple weeks to hopefully get some better idea of what's causing mine. That's my good news to share with the thread! 1
