Briar King Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 Oh yeah!! I just had to scoop the water out of my fire hole from the rain and now my hand is numb! This would be PERFECT if not for the wind. Tomorrow night is gonna be the good one, still in 20's but calm from the look of things.
Pinnacle-Ferring he/him Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 Today I was just walking along, minding my own business, when this cat just starts meowing at me. I didn't really know what to do, so I started petting it. It was the cutest thing! It started purring and rubbing itself against me. It even started climbing onto my lap. The only thing that made it less than paradise was the fact that it kept kneading me with its claws. Apart from the fact that it was kind of painful, I was also wearing my nice clothes. But I couldn't be mad at it. I named it Stabby Tabby! 6

StrikerEZ he/him Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 I'm currently waiting for the results from the band auditions right before Christmas break started to come out so I can see if I stayed in the top band. I'm pretty sure I did, but the wait is always so suppenseful. It's also always so cool when you wait and get really good results. Of course, they told us results would be up last Friday. Then they said over the weekend. Then they said today...I'm getting annoyed now.

We'll be learning to ID both by sight--with photos and taxidermied specimens--and some by sound, taking field trips, and having ID quizzes every few weeks. I'M SO STOKED. 3
Claincy he/him Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 I just ran a D&D session that ended up revolving almost exclusively around contests at a festival, and it went really well. The storytelling contest in particular is now one of the highlights of the campaign for me. Sitting back and occasionally narrating audience reaction while each of them told a story (as their character) was so good and they all did it well. 1

StrikerEZ he/him Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 We started sight-reading a piece in band today, and in the sixth movement there's an alto clarinet solo. My band director said that we'd probably just have a bass clarinet play it, unless we actually needed the alto in any other pieces that we might play. I'm so gonna try out for that solo, and my odds are pretty good since there's only one other bass clarinet. Of course, her odds are really good too. Or we might not even play the piece. Even if we don't end up playing the piece, I'm still gonna practice the solo. 1

No, I did most of the worldbuilding in PMs (and it came together remarkably fast for a fantasy world—two weeks) but I haven't talked about it on the boards much, save for progress updates. I could be convinced to give you the Google Docs link, though, since it's set in your home state. 1
