P.S. How does one make a link that isn't the actual URL?

That answer your question? You can also do it in the code view as:

This is a link!

Alternatively you can just use [/ img] (no spaces) on direct picture links (right click on image and say "copy image location")

When the second Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser trailer was released and I was watching it over and over again, I took a screenshot when the sith turns around menacingly.  I've had it as my desktop background ever since.

On my phone, my lock screen was Serenity, then HAL9000, and then Szeth.  I thought about changing it to Wax and Marasi, but their faces were covered up by the time.

Slightly off-topic? Maybe?

Apparently a man made a mountain backdrop his desktop background for over a year. Today, he accidentally stumbled across the site while vacationing in Italy.

I'm currently working on a dual monitor setup so I have two backgrounds, one for each :)

The first, bigger one I use most of the time: post-13529-0-62928300-1441183523_thumb.j

And the smaller one I use for secondary things to keep an eye on: post-13529-0-32963200-1441183528_thumb.j

EDIT: Who can recognize the anime? ;)

My family always uses castles as backgrounds. We've had a Japanese one, a Greek one, and I can't remember the other one. Might have been German?

This is mine. It combines steampunk and music, so...

You play the Trumpetbug too?

At work, it's the cover of Way of Kings. A good conversation starter and chance to talk about Brandon's books. At home, it cycles through a bunch of pictures that include some Cosmere and Dr. Who pictures.

AAAAH PLUTO AMAZINGNESS GEEKING OUT MODE ENABLED

Ahem. Mine has been changed to one of the pictures of Saturn taken by Cassini. They're rather dreamlike, with the rings and the black and white coloring. If you haven't seen any of Cassini's pictures, look them up now.

Mine is currently the standard Alienware background. Although I have had a few different ones I've generally just used a solid black background. Boring I know but practical. :P
