Fun fact, when I was younger Optimus Prime was my favourite because I didn't know the name of any of the others.

He is also the reason I learned the word for a semi-trailer.

Name 15 DC comics superheroes?

Err...that's not 15 Venture Mistborn, that's only 10. Moreover, I wouldn't exactly call half of the lantern colors "heroes".

Green Lantern (Hal, Guy, John, Kyle, Simon, and any others in the corps, really)

Blue Lantern Saint Walker

Green Arrow

The Flash

Kid Flash

Batman

Robin

Nightwing

Superman

Superboy

Supergirl

Cyborg

Aquaman

Wonder Woman

Static Shock

Shazzam

etc...

As for the question, I'll go ahead with Venture Mistborn's:

Name 20 Marvel heroes.

Posted

1. Daredevil

2. Iron Man

3. Dr. Strange

4. Agent Venom

5. The Incredible Hulk

6. Jean Grey

7. Captain America

8. Black Widow

9. Hawk Eye

10. Mockingbird

11. Ice Man

12. The Invisible Woman

13. Professor X

14. Black Panther

15. Ms. Marvel

16. Captain Marvel

17. Jessica Jones

18. Power Man

19. Star Lord

20. Groot

I could go on with a lot more if you contest some of the people on the list: Vision, Cyclops, Nightcrawler, The Thing, Spiderman, etc.

19 films with scores by John Williams

Posted (edited)

Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace

Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones

Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith

Star Wars Episode 4: A New Hope

Star Wars Episode 5: The Empire Strikes Back

Star Wars Episode 6: Return of the Jedi

Raiders of the Lost Ark

Temple of Doom

The Last Crusade

Kingdom of the Crystal Skull struck-through because this movie does not exist.

Jurassic Park

The Lost World

Jurassic Park III

Jurassic World

Jaws

Jaws 2?

Jaws 3? (I can't remember if he did the score for either of these, but I would assume so)

Saving Private Ryan

Empire of the Sun

Hook

Close Encounters of the Third Kind

Name 15 characters in Harry Potter who die in the books. The books don't have to have shown their death, but they do have to have died during the course of the novels, so James and Lily wouldn't count as they died before the story started (if only just). To be on the safe side, use spoiler tags. :)

EDIT: I know I named enough already, but I'm looking through the list now and I'm ashamed that I forgot Harry Potter, Superman, E.T., Home Alone, and so many others. #fail

...Wow, after doing up this list, I can't help but feel as though this series were as bloody as ASOIAF o.O

Name five medical texts that were published pre-nineteenth century.

Edited by Kasimir

I had 12 names written up, and was writing up the 13th, when Kasimir posted. I had the other two in my head, as well.

Also, Colin Creevey doesn't die, does he? And by way of non-humans, I had Hedwig, so I guess I can't blame you. That was so sad. To this day, I have a stuffed Hedwig in my room.

Anyway, medical texts? Pre-nineteenth century?

I could probably come with 2-3 if I really tried, but there is no way I'll get five.

Yep. Colin did in the battle of Hogwarts.

Name 10 Paul McCartney songs.

Hey Glamdring, we're playing that the person who answers the preceding challenge gets to post the next one. I'd be happy to try to name Paul McCartney songs, but if you could work within the game, that would be appreciated.  ;)

My apologies. I wasn't sure what the rules were for when the previous person wasn't able to answer the question.

I don't know any medical textbooks. :o

Sorry about that. Very tired when replying.

1. The Canon of Medicine – Avicenna
2. The Method of Medicine (Kitab at-Tasrif) – Abulcasis
3. The Virtuous Life – Rhazes [compilation of Rhazes’s medical knowledge]
4. On the Fabric of the Human Body (De humani corporis fabrica) –Vesalius
5. Compendium of Materia Medica (Bencao Gangmu) – Li Shizen

Since I don't have a great question off the top of my head, let's just bend the rules slightly and pass it on to Glamdring since he already has a decent question prepped :P (Even if I can't answer it WLIU )

Glamdring hasn't responded to this for nearly a month, so I'll try and restart this.

WLIU, name 15 Shakespearean plays.

Posted

Hamlet

Macbeth

A midsummer nights Dream

Tempest

King richard III

King Henry V

King Henry VI

Romeo and Juliet

12th Night

much ado about nothing

The taming of the shrew

King Lear

Julius Caesar

The merry wives of Windsor

Othello

Wow that was harder than expected and I'm pleasantly surprised that I could get that many!

Name a contemporary of Cleopatra, excluding Julius Caesar and Marc Antony.

Posted (edited)

Do you have to give their whole name? If you don't, then my answer is:

Brutus. He murdered Caesar. But I can't remember his full name.

If it counts, then my question will be, name 4 actors who have played James Bond. If it doesn't, then ignore me and keep guessing.

Assuming your answer counts and that question is valid: Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig. I think I'm missing one of the actors...George.....something. I think. But that's more than 4, so I'm good.

Name 20 Middle Earth actors.

Posted

Orlando Bloom, Aidan Turner, Lee Pace, Dean O'Gorman, Viggo Mortenson, Cate Blanchett, Ian McKellen, Sir Christopher Lee, Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan, Billy Boyd, Miranda Otto, Karl Urban, Bernard Hill, Sean Bean, Richard Armitage, Ken Stott, Jimmy Nesbitt, Hugo Weaving, and I could go on. *grins*

WLIU...let's go semi-easy. What's the name of Odin's staff in Norse mythology?
