Delightful Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 (edited) Don't worry. You'll find the Yin to your Yang eventually. AHHH! Adorable puppies!!So I stumbled across and bought a book the other day - Star Wars as if it was written by Shakespeare. It's absolutely hilarious, and R2 has asides in English. TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 AHHH! Adorable puppies!! So I stumbled across and bought a book the other day - Star Wars as if it was written by Shakespeare. It's absolutely hilarious, and R2 has asides in English. Was that a call for more? That sounds awesome. I got my sister the Doctor Who version of Hamlet for Christmas, and it's pretty hilarious. I saw a book at the library called Hamlet's BlackBerry, and I almost got it for her but stopped when I realized it wasn't a collection of texts written from one Shakespeare character to another, but a book of boring old advice on time management. 1

I'm going to have to ask you ladies for some Amazon links, if ya don't mind.

Delightful Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 (edited) Mayeth the Force be with thee What on earth does Hamlets Blackberry have to do with time management?? Edited May 4, 2015 by Delightful 2
Kestrel she/her Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 I am defeated. Just got back from band trip. Still have homework. Its 11:30 at night. No sleep, again. Oh yes. I haven't had a good night's sleep in like two weeks.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Mayeth the Force be with thee What on earth does Hamlets Blackberry have to do with time management?? I've read the summary a dozen times, and I still have no idea. 1
Kobold King he/him Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 With it being May 4th, International Star Wars Day, it's only fitting that I post something remotely related to Star Wars. Here's the Episode VII trailer: But wait... I have a reputation to keep up. So I should probably also post "Star Wars Re-enacted by Ponies." But wait... this is the RANDOM Stuff thread. I need to post something completely off-the-wall random too... so here's "Star Wars Re-enacted by Ponies Re-enacted by Arnold Schwarzenegger." Anything else... nope, that should just about cover me. May the Fourth be with you all! 2
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 I watched all three….and then I clicked on "300 Re-Enacted by Muppets." ….I'm not entirely sure what I just watched, but I can't stop laughing at it. 2

Sometimes, a piece of randomness is so beautiful in its lack of sense, that not understanding what you have witnessed only makes it all the more beautiful. 1
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 (edited) Liebrarians celebrate May the Fourth! One of the librarians where I interned was wearing this today. It's a poncho she painted herself. In the bottom corners, you'll see the Rebel Alliance symbol; Vader's nose is R2-D2; the vents on his mouthpiece are lightsabers; and the pupils of his eyes are Death Stars. Go on. Look at it. Admire its beauty. Edited May 5, 2015 by TwiLyghtSansSparkles 5

Kestrel she/her Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 I don't know what to think of those videos, Kobold.
Quiver he/him Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 (edited) Suicide Squad Cast Picture, apparently. The funny thing is, my reaction to this was "I didn't know Katana was in the Suicide Squad movie"... but besides her, Deadshot and Harley, I have no idea who those other characters are supposed to be. Also, Will Smiths "full" costume. Edited May 5, 2015 by Quiver

That creature in the short pants and the torn T-shirt? That isn't Harley Quinn. This is Harley Quinn. This will remain the case until he point at which Suicide Squad's Harley Quinn proves herself to be the most fantastic character in the world of cinema, which as an event has not yet happened and may not occur at any point in the future. Just so we're clear.

Also, Will Smiths "full" costume. I think Killer Croc is in the movie, so maybe he's that second guy on the right? Otherwise my guess would be Solomon Grundy. But I have no actual clue.

Why Why are you reinventing Harley Quinn She was literally perfect the way she was We adored her And now she's some biker chick with admittedly awesome boots But why Why is this necessary This is like reinventing grilled cheese by grilling the cheese separate from the bread Why

A cynic might also point out that they're leaning towards the insultingly , ludicrously sexualized version from the comics rather than the cleaner (not to mention cooler) version from the original animated series. Not that I'm a cynic, of course. Nosirree.

This looks like a Halloween costume I'd help my sister create using things in her closet and maybe a few items from the thrift store.Edit: But my sister's version would have longer shorts. For sure. On a more serious note, I don't know, if you want to go realistic and gritty why have costumes in the first place. I have some good news though, apparently those tattoos from the last time aren't actually part of the Joker costume. 1

I have some good news though, apparently those tattoos from the last time aren't actually part of the Joker costume. If I ever go to a signing, I might go as Sexy Jasnah--dressed modestly, but with an uncovered safehand. That's how I feel! Why not just make the whole thing about a bunch of bikers with a propensity for random acts of violence? Oh, good. It might not fix the movie, but those tattoos really bugged me.

Oh sure, if you want a bunch of Stormlight nerds jeering and catcalling at you for the entire signing. If the tattoos aren't part of the Joker's actual onscreen appearance, then why were they in the photo? Did DC gauge the fan reaction and take them out when people were so negative about them?
