Stardust She/Her Posted Saturday at 10:40 PM Posted Saturday at 10:40 PM I would like to sign up!!! I'll be Ensha, a merchant who conned the council into letting her have a seat with them. 1

Never sacrifice a good story for the sake of a little truth, as his father had always told him. Tshanin smiled down at the old man. "That is another story I would like to hear someday."

It's funnier if I wait until the last second so the boon chasers have to keep editing their sign-up posts with more and more detail. But I'll take lucky 17 as Noran, introduced to the council as the Queen's cousin. She looks remarkably like her, but people tell them apart by her dark brown eyes. Are PMs open? When in the order of actions is the deposition? 3
KeyFox Posted Sunday at 05:10 PM Posted Sunday at 05:10 PM Hi there! I just found out about SE yesterday and I wanted to try out a game. So, I’m excited to be joining! (If signups are still open, I’m not quite sure…) I’ll be playing as Makkib, a former Skybreaker from Babatharnam. Spoiler He realized that Nale was insane so he abandoned his oaths, now choosing to use his strong sense of justice for good (or so it may seem?) in the Thaylen City Council. At first glance, he appears gruff and unwelcoming, but that is just a product of his rough, lower-class upbringing. He does truly care about people and treating them fairly. One more thing: I read the rules and the explanation for this game and everything, but could someone explain the whole roleplay/PM/document aspect of the game to me? I don’t completely understand it yet, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out as we go. 2
Archer he/him Posted Sunday at 05:24 PM Posted Sunday at 05:24 PM Our signature banner advertising works! Unless you found your way here by some other way, such as word of mouth or the billboards we put up near Route 66. 7 minutes ago, KeyFox said: One more thing: I read the rules and the explanation for this game and everything, but could someone explain the whole roleplay/PM/document aspect of the game to me? I don’t completely understand it yet, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out as we go. Welcome! Docs facilitate secret communication in the game. The bad guys get one to conspire in, and players who are removed get one to chat in while they spectate. This game has a doc for the three Highguards to chat in as a perk of the role. Roleplay is an optional part of the game. Players usually embody a character and interact with other characters and the writeups provided by the game master. Imagine playing a murder mystery game and roleplaying as Colonel Mustard or Professor Plum, but still having out of character conversations with each other to solve the game. The usual ratio is 25% roleplay, 75% solving, but some people lean heavier one way or the other. It's a bit of fun to make each game feel unique and make it so not every conversation we have with each other is adversarial. 2

I don’t completely understand it yet, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out as we go. Sure thing! The whole RP thing is entirely optional. A lot of people (me included) enjoy roleplaying as our characters within the game, but others don’t. It doesn’t have any actual impact, it’s just fun PMs are for players to communicate in secret outside of the main thread. If PMs are open (allowed) (which they might not be, we need to see what Jo says) then players are free to make PMs with others, so long as they follow certain guidelines: all PMs about the game must be titled “LG 113: (Sender) - (Receiver)” for 1 to 1 PMs (if there’s more than two people in the PM I guess you can name it however you want, so long as you include “LG 113:” in the title) and include the GMs (Jo and @Cuendillar) and the IM (TJ) 3 minutes ago, Archer said: Our signature banner advertising works! (stay away from the long games or lgs though, many of them have rather complicated rulesets) When I started, I found it was helpful to get an idea of how the game is usually played 1
Jo and the Bush all/any Posted Sunday at 05:58 PM Author Posted Sunday at 05:58 PM The Rules of the Game have been finalized and updated! I will be editing the Original Post soon to reflect them. Changes: The Eliminator Kill has been changed. It no longer requires an action, and cannot be roleblocked or tracked. Kills are announced as having been done by the Corrupt, and the identities of Survivors are revealed. The Rebsk's Neutral action has changed from "Your vote is automattically canceled" to "Your loyalty in/de creases by 1 to match their loyalty." The Council Secretary can no longer learn if someone is a Highguard. The Parliamentarian Decrees have been modified to not be only beneficial to one alignment or the other. PM's are open as long as at least 1 Parliamentarian is alive. The Minister of Trade can increase or decrease Loyalty. Prince Consort has been renamed to Royal Family. The Banker can now offer an additional action per cycle if their loyalty is negative. A vanilla role has been added. On 7/15/2026 at 1:11 PM, TwinStorm said: are PMs open? PMs are open as long as there is a Parliamentarian alive, and you have not been detained by a Royal Family Member On 7/15/2026 at 4:38 PM, Archer said: Is Deposing the Queen an action? Will we know who called for it? For Rebsk, do you get the loyalty increase from a vote on you that you cancel? Parliamentarian’s decree is secret? If a Prince Consort compels you to target someone with your role action and your role action doesn’t target a player eg. Parliamentarian's decree, does that affect anything? If you’re ordered during the Day but you have a Night-only action, does the order delay? If you used your action for the cycle but are ordered at Night, do you do anything? Is there anything stopping Highguards from claiming their identity in the doc? If you inherit the Highguard plate and blade, does that replace your role or become an additional power? What information are we told about the success of actions? Deposing the Queen requires you to state in the Night Thread, in Red Text, that you are making a motion to depose the Queen. It does not require an action. Votes canceled by the Rebsk/Royal Family will not be counted for any purpose. Any Decrees in effect are announced at the beginning of the Day Cycle. If the Royal Family compels you to take an illegal action, the order is ignored. You will not be counted as having used your action. You will still lose Loyalty. The Highguards can say whatever they want to in the Doc The Highguard role is now a Secondary Role. All other roles are Primary Roles. All players will always have one Primary Role, and some may have/inherit a Secondary Role. When you take an action, you will know who you targeted, and whether it was successful or a failure. On 7/15/2026 at 5:25 PM, Illwei said: Q: is the condition based on all votes throughout the cycle, or is it only effective is it is a vote in the final tally? Q: is it announced publicly if a player is no longer eligible to ve voted on, or are votes just nulled? Q: same as for rebsk, is it about all votes throughout or only counts if its a final vote at the end of day? Q: is the action the only thing that is known, or are you also revealed as the person who took the action? General q: are people limited to one role or multiple Votes must be present in the Final Tally to be counted for anything. Any ineligible players are announced at the beginning of the Day Turn. The Banker is revealed only if they erase more than 1 vote. Other than Highguard, players may only have 1 role. On 7/17/2026 at 2:22 PM, Mat said: Are kills differentiated? Like between highguard/elim, will we know which was which Kills will be differentiated. 2 hours ago, Archer said: Are PMs open? When in the order of actions is the deposition? PMs are open as long as a Parliamentarian is alive. The Deposition vote is the very last thing to happen in the night. All Loyalty changes will have happened by the time the Deposition vote happens.
