Greebas is reminded why he stays away from the law-keepers.

Accuse, accuse, accuse. So many innocents slain, so little time. Find your criminals, just leave Greebas out of it.

You might try it, we're in danger too, with this group here. Well you figure out who the criminals are and Greebas will point the sinister finger at them later.

The clock is ticking for your life, too. Wouldn't that be a shame, for this lovely situation we have to finally end. That will be a fine resolution to this mess, it doesn't bother Greebas.

You've been posting a lot recently, but I don't like how you're not voting. Who are your suspicions, if any?

Greebas doesn't join in the witch hunt, Greebas is a witch. Greebas knows your type, Kaladfin. Don't bother Greebas.

I've been thinking about who is a justice seeker, as that is easier and more relevant than random finger pointing, Kaladfin.

Yes, yes, how clever. The people who appear to be nice are nice, fascinating discovery, Obdilaurd.

The one named Starseeker wants the secret of eternal life.

Yes, and that's entirely irrelevant. You can't live forever if someone kills you.

Yes you can. ...If you can call this "living."

Nahh, let him cook this cycle. It’s good RP and Obdiluard is gradually locking in

I like that Mehlarin fellow

You like anyone pretty. If they saw what you really looked like they wouldn't have anything to do with you.

Appearances aren't everything.

I would prefer it if you are to place a vote, you speak again separately. It is probably not intended, but if you wish to execute someone with your vote, it is more honest and open to do so by announcing it, rather than editing it in later.

I understand edits for spelling or mistakes, but, edits that involve adding or removing content, particularly content as important as a vote, should not occur, as a friendly request, for my sanity.

Alright, time is running

Because of urgency, it would be highly appreciated if, as doc said, we could begin to express some sentiments outside of RP

There's also like ten other people that have basically been silent so far; I understand this hasn't been up so long, just a gentle push towards interaction as we do need to eliminate someone today

Eh, quieter people can be pushed sometimes for "they're under the radar" for the exact reasons you're saying, so I wouldn't exactly call that true.

In terms of game-related talk, I have mild village pings from two people, and am slightly side-eyeing one person rn.

It's probably worth noting that this is a 13p game, so it's very likely 10 v 3 (with the 3 being the elims), which is standard for balancing. This is a very normal game by my standards, which is nice.

Glhf as always, hope the new to SE players enjoy the game! :D

Care to share your reads?

Personally, my reads right now (based on very frail evidence) are:

@Aeternum: Leaning slightly village, just due to initiative

@IcedOutPenguin: Also leaning village; his early jab against Coder was something I saw too, and it seems rooted in logic. Plus,

Alright

Var/Striker?

I found Coder's seemingly unjustified backing me up on Striker here a little odd. I would vote him, but it is his first game...

@Doc12: Appreciate his analysis, so village for now

@Askthepizzaguy@KelsierApologist, haven't been following your RP, but it seems a little cloudy. @Askthepizzaguy especially - look, I love RP, but with what seem to be multiple characters speaking in yours I honestly cannot understand what you are saying and that's a problem. Some transparency, please. Plus, the two of you are backing each other up a little much...

I hate D1 votes. No one has any information, and most of the votes are poke votes that are retracted the moment the poked says something. A bandwagon might appear, and then there's even less information on voting motives. There's also no voting manipulation, so there's no information coming from there either. Still. I acknowledge the sense in needing something to happen to actually have stuff to discuss, and if the cycle looks to be ending without much of a consensus am willing to jump votes to kill someone.

Yeah... that's the problem with SE

Unlike real mafia, you can't tell what someone is thinking based off physical clues

Instead, your only evidence comes in the form of writing, that is precisely tailored to seem innocent - and someone who doesn't write (*cough* half the people here) can slip away by refusing to give up evidence.

Current votes, btw, are:

Striker (1): CoderDragon8

KelsierApologist (1): Twinstorm

Ksauce (1): Thatoneworldhopper

AskThePizzaGuy (1): IcedOutPenguin

Since I don't want to vote CD, and we need decisive action, I'll take the vote off Striker/Var and put my weight behind AskThePizzaGuy/Greebas - at least until he begins to speak in a clearer tone

AskThePizzaGuy (2): IcedOutPenguin, Hoid Slayer

Aeternum (1): Polly

Sorry, my bad, I missed it

Also:

Wishikk pushed away the thoughts that tried to overwhelm him and forced himself to get involved in the discussion. This was his shot; he wouldn't waste a second of it. Quickly, he realized he was one of the more analytic - and decisive - of the recruits; many were far more willing to sit back and let others take the spotlight. Normally, Wishikk would have reveled in his element. But ever since the Incident, doubts had begun to set in - and he couldn't fail here. So instead, he went to approach one recruit that seemed to be acting especially oddly. He called himself Greebas.

Pizza (is it okay if I call you that?), you've got a lot of pressure on you. What do you have to say? What are your reads? And please, speak clearly.

Greebas doesn't think much of the votes on him. They're quite silly.

First, the complaints are that people aren't talking enough, or giving enough reads, then they vote for someone who has given reads and is talking and trying to discuss with people who stop talking, vanish, and don't give reads, just baseless votes.

Go ahead and execute Greebas for the crime of talking, it bothers him not. You will have a much quieter discussion with much less content if you do.

I agree with him.

Yes, Greebas would concur.

Justice Seekers tend to overlook things and have trouble parsing text. A well known phenomenon that I refer to as the Archangel tell, for innocents.

“One of the lessons that you will need to learn as a Skybreaker is one of consequence. If you fail to find all of the evildoers, all of the lawbreakers within your group, they will be let free."

No. Not again. Javert would make good the mistakes of his past life. There would be no escaped evildoers.

Looking around at the group, Wishikk and Kaladfin seemed to be the most vocal in encouraging discussion while the others did their own thing.  Men of enterprise and moment. He respected that. He also respected Richard for claiming a gut instinct on CD, even though there was essentially no foundation for it.

Anyone who knows me knows two things. 1) I feel very sad about not having PMs to talk everyone's ear off :P 2) I hate D1 votes. No one has any information, and most of the votes are poke votes that are retracted the moment the poked says something. I enjoy making big analysis posts, but I find it hard to find things to talk about on D1. I like Hoidslayer, Twinstorm, and Penguin a little more for trying to stir up discussion and poke votes. Pizzaguy and Polly have been posting a lot of RP, which isn't inherently suspicious, but also not particularly helpful. I don't begrudge them that, yet.

so as of now we have...

Striker (2): Hoidslayer, CoderDragon8

CD (1): Icedoutpenguin

KelsierApologist (1): Twinstorm

Ksauce (1): Thatoneworldhopper

As I said, bunch of poke votes with little substance. The only thing that really jumps out to me is CD jumping on the Striker vote without a reason other than Hoidslayer's vote, but again, D1.

Striker and Booknewt have not posted. Aeternum and TheUnknownOrder have popped up a bunch of times in thread but haven't contributed much either beyond a couple of rule clarifications. For now, I'm going to poke @The Unknown Order You've got no PMs to convince me of your alignment this time so you gotta speak in thread, buddy :P

There's this thing called sleeping. It was too early on earlier, but I have a couple of thoughts now. Don't really have time to formulate them in this post, but I should be able to soon.

I didn't notice any edited votes, but I wasn't looking too hard.

Just a reminder to everyone that we aren't supposed to edit votes in (a lot of older GMs won't count it and rightfully so), and if your posts are going to merge (less than fifteen minutes since you posted), you should make sure to @ the GM (Aeoyori). It's also polite to @ the player you're voting as well.

Also, Pizza/Greebas, I believe some people are having trouble parsing your prose. I'm really enjoying it actually, but Hoid Slayer asked for clarification and you really didn't give any. They aren't necessarily attacking your points, they might just be having trouble understanding the back and forth dialog you're using. I'm enjoying it, so please don't stop, but summaries when you have the time would be helpful.

Generally, voting for reactions is a good strategy (it's why I voted Striker at the start)

But generally, we also have more time to hear people out before we have to make a decision. Today, we have less than 6 hours, and we don't know Striker will even show up to react in that time

I've mostly been searching for people who shouldn't be executed, and trying to engage with the people flailing about with their votes, but they tend to give no explanation and vanish.

I don't get to go anywhere, I'm stuck here solving this mystery in the hopes that this mortal body might not expire for no just cause, but... frankly I am just grateful for the opportunity to live past my natural expiration date as it stands.

Yes, yes, so grateful you never stop whining about being given a new form. Greebas will cast you out someday.

If Greebas had one person to vote for, he'd have voted them already.

Some people aren't even here yet.

Criminal behavior is relative. Some seek to clothe themselves in good deeds, others wear their guilt openly, and some don't even bother to show their faces, the dishonorable cowards that they are.

Innocence is also relative. Some genuinely seek to do good deeds, only to murder the innocent instead because they fancy themselves heroic and just. Some make themselves known through their deeds. Some shine brightly just by not doing ill to their fellow man.

To judge the group in relative terms, the group must actually be present.

A judicious mind, one of patience and virtue, connected with mine. I recognize this feeling. Greebas, for all his faults, embodies this idea, quite literally for me. I regret that I did not learn it in life.

You don't fool Greebas with that happy talk. You'll be in prison yet for your misdeeds.

I've learned my lesson, you're an excellent teacher.

Don't blow smoke up my bum, evil spirit. These people don't know you, but Greebas knows.
