That’s why I posted here - it seems useful and I don’t want people to forget it.
Anyway, I’m going to see if I can have my 504 back; they removed it because the teacher was already giving the accommodations needed. Unfortunately, this year my new teachers aren’t, so I’m having to comprehend discussion questions like “What is a myth you tell about yourself, and would you change it?”, and my teacher told me to “just try to answer it”. Grr… ADHD productivity levels are not making this any better, either.

Ah, this sucks. I had a teacher like this two years ago and it was an absolute train wreck for me. It didn’t help that that teacher was an absolute jerk. But yea, i hope you can get your accommodations.

I do this same thing, but with in-world slang. For example, I replaced “This post has been reported for attempting to skirt the rules” in my head with “storms” for awhile after i read stormlight.

Edit: it appears it is not allowed to censor a certain word. I apologize

All. The. Time.

I'm as bad as Wayne. I can't stop doing it, so I have honed this skill to a fine edge.

I think its called 'masking'. When someone is speaking with a british accent, my accent will slip into a canadian-british accent. (My normal accent is a mishmash of Canadian accent and New Zealand accent)

Same.

It annoys my mother so much.

Well, my mom has read Mistborn and she's a Wayne fan so at least she doesn't really mind.

Apparently my memory abnormally good and not just ordinarily good (though I think it’s a common trait of high-functioning Autism). My teacher wanted me to highlight passages from a reading “so you can find what you read”, and we had some brief mutual confusion. I wonder if someone neurotypical would be willing to come over here and explain how “normal” people think - it’s a qualia that is fairly hard to project to others who think differently.

Im getting sick of my softball coach.

He cant process what sensory issues are and that my brain is wired different so some of his drills dont work for me.

like i need to actually do the play to learn it

i cant practice things halfway through.

While I was still doing Irish dance, I felt that HARD (Also, hi, I'm getting assessed for autism and ADHD through school... sometime in the next month-ish. So we'll see how that comes out!). I learned dances really slowly, and only by having someone else walk me through the steps slowly about 7-8 times, and I eventually reached the point where no one had the time to do that for me (which is why I quit).

So happy to find that this thread is a thing!
