”Um… if you don’t mind me asking, why are you glowing?”

"Uh... there have been some recent changes. You might recall the army that was attacking the Clinic earlier?"

"In order to defeat them, I killed the Queen of the hive. And she killed me, so to avoid being dead..." He was hesitant to say the next part.

She didn’t seem to understand what he was alluding to.

"What brings you here, Haly?"

“I was bored.”

“O-oh.”

Haly looked away.

He wasn't sure how to take that reaction.

She looked like she was trying to think of a more decipherable response. Really, though, what did you say to someone in this situation?

the ship begins to rock, just like the last time someone opened a portal. The sphere floating in the center of the Cresent ship begins to crack,  @Edema Rue's repairs flying off.

"That's so real." Elan butts in. "You keep paying Social Security with no retirement benefits."

“Hey!” Dayla scowled at Haly and TAAron. “Thanks for that,” she muttered, pulling out more bits of scrap metal and starting her repairs all over.

When she was finished, lightning was zapping between parts and it appeared to have several pieces of duct tape keeping it together. “Not sure how long it’ll last,” she said, surveying her handiwork with a frown. “Are we close?”
