"Well, first I tried suicide. Then... we organized it. One of us just took charge, got everyone to shut up. It was hard at first, but we figured out how to silence our thoughts so we could send them only when we wanted. We also learned how to kind of set each other on mute, so we couldn't hear everything. And then we formed our council."
