  1. 1. What do you want to happen to this RP when the current plotline ends?

    • Start another RP of the same characters, like a season 2
      3
    • Keep going with no plan at all
      0
    • Make new characters and have an RP of a similar concept, but, effectively with a new party
      3
    • End the RP (THIS ONE BETTER NOT WIN BUT I FELT I HAD TO ADD IT ANYWAYS)

Nick smiles. “See what you can do.” SIMON the proceeds to try to scan though the whole internet, but is stopped quickly. Wow. It’s so small. But it’s so slow. This is going to take forever… Using the comparatively minuscule bandwidth, SIMON looks up the teleportation game show and its address, ratings, schedule, and everything else available.

Nick nods. “I’ll see what I can do. I’m not actually sure if I can bring my technology into your world, at a large scale.”

You find little actual information, but it seems of some controversy. Some think that the show should stop so that the people in it (You) stop suffering, and others think that its entertaining and probably fake.

“Yeah, there’s internet here! I’ve missed that. SIMON is very slowly sorting through the reviews. Maybe we can change where we’re sent once we get better connection.”

You need contact with the machine to change the Teleportation queue. They adjusted it once I changed it the first time. I do have a direct link to the machine from what I've done, so if you could tell me the system of somewhere that you want to go, I may be able to change the teleporter to there if I go fast, and it's near to the actual landing point.

"Good to know. I think we should save that for emergencies."

Nick turns to the whole group. "Are you all fine with being recorded? I think we can shut down or change the show by simply sending out our perspective, rather than the edited version the public gets."

Larry shrugged. "I'm law enforcement. Most planets allow us being recorded, for the citizens safety. I don't really see how them seeing our perspective will change things, since they know we're being sent around. They might just think it's some special episode, but I guess it can't go too bad."

"I'll see if I can get some sort of incriminating exchange, in addition to ordinary things."

“I’m fine. I’d be lying if I told you I was used to not being recorded.”

Nick blinks. “That wasn’t not too many double negatives. What about everyone else? Can we interview you and get our perspective out there?”

@Ancient Elantrian is here, I think.

I don’t know if people actually read the thread without being tagged, but we’ll see.

That makes sense. How edited are the actual episodes of the show? Is there some sort of time dilation during the teleportation with lets them have more than three days of episodes?

They are edited to the editing parts, mostly the fighting and always when you first arrive in a new place.

So the fact that they’re being teleported against their will is edited out?

SIMON sends a message to the AI. “How advanced are you? Do you have autonomous decision capabilities, or simply emulation of a personality?”

"Hello. My name is Aka. What can I do for you today?"

The AI shows no response to your question, as if it didn't know how to answer so simply said it's greeting.

Also I meant to put 'they edit to the exciting parts' not 'the editing parts' but I was on my phone and autocorrect hates me.

Ah, emulation, then. SIMON sends another message. "Note outgoing data address and content. Send to device: SIMON."

"Are you authorized for this?"

SIMON begins looking for accounts to sign up for that would confer the needed credentials; hopefully before they are requested. "Yes."

"Great!"

The AI quickly sends all of the data inside it to SIMON.

It was owned by a man named David Johanson, who was a soldier. He was hired by the CEO of Teleportations Inc. to be a security guard. Then, when the opportunity arose for him to get a promotion to one of the strike teams, assuming he would pretty much never actually have to do anything, he took the raise.

Then, it shows him looking at a computer, begging the AI for help.

It seems like he was knocked out by something, because the next view from his glasses show him picking them up, cleaning them off, and putting them on.

The rest is a video from the glasses' perspective, also with audio of what he asked the AI for. It seems like the AI was a basic assistant and was used to ask for things about geography or to cite back to notes he had made about plans and the like. He was sent out on a job, and was promptly killed.

By your group.

Nick would be upset about that. Although he's changed, with the remaking. It doesn't make sense to feel more sadness because you found out about a person; he still was trying to kill them. SIMON continues. "How can I contact Teleportations Inc.? Do you have any outgoing messages?"

Apologies for disappearing. I'll be gone again for the next several hours.

We’re in the city that has the teleportation device. We got a new person, and Nick is trying to interview everyone to post an unedited account to the teleportation cycle on the internet.

“Ok. I won’t record evidence of you assassinating someone or something. I’m just going to do an interview, and then maybe film the rest and only send out things that would incriminate the people running the show. They have access to at least a dozen alternate universes with magic, and their first thought is reality TV? What is wrong with these people?”
