"The only way we talk to other planets is with the weird gameshow where we try to kill random people. Recently, they were on this weird flying island! The show was cancelled, though. "What? That sounds horrible. And also makes no sense. How would that even work? Huh. Well, uh, no, I just look like this." He gestures to his suit and sighs. "Well, thank you for your time."

He walks back to the group. "Planet Erishia. Never heard of it. They can talk to other planets but only through a now-cancelled game show where they kill people. Something about a flying island. Oh well."

Nick walks over and has SIMON feed him good lies as he attempts to find out more. “I couldn’t help but overhear. I’m a fan. It’s a shame they canceled just as I finished the costume … do you know why?”

"Ah! Fellow actors!" Lady Laenor Ge-Tosta of Thousand Isles of Darkness clapped her hands gleefully. "Then surely you understand that I really must get back to the station for my segment!!"

Nick is startled by the new person; somehow he hadn’t noticed her. Any description I should know? Nick has an excessive number of futuristic firearms and grenades, and is wearing a brightly colored bodysuit with what look like some sort of wings attached to them. That would change my first impression, at least. “The station, you say?” asks Nick, continuing his acting voice. “Would you know where that is? I have reality-TV-where-people-from-different-worlds-are-teleported-around-for-the-amusement-of-others related things to get to. You can’t possibly be an additional person the teleporter picked up, can you? Because you know exactly where you are and how you go there, right? So we’re not your only possibility to figure out what’s going on and how to get home. Too bad, though, if that was the case I’d be happy to help.”

Nick speaks more slowly with the most obvious verbal winking he can muster. He’s not sure if sarcasm was a thing at whatever time period that outfit indicated, but hopefully the message would get across. “It’d be such a strange coincidence if you also happened to end up here for the same reason my friends and I did. But if you somehow were teleported here, we’d be able to give you answers. It’d be really suspicious if we told you that outright though, so theoretically we’d have to use excessive sarcasm to make our points.”

Maybe pretend to be from out of town; ask for directions to the game show studio. Say we’re doing the cosplay for a couple reasons; we want the show back on the air but in a more humane way, with volunteers and maybe less violence and more simple exploration. A slice of life sort of thing. Make a self-deprecating joke about how we’re poorly organized, and a couple of us are just here to dress up, and note that the acting of pretending not to be acting is confusing you.

Tenth walked to the women with the dog. “Hello!” His accent should be indication enough that he was from out of town. “What do you think of our latest episode? I liked it, but there is too much violence. I like the exploration. Do you think they will bring it back… I hope so. Otherwise this cosplay would be for no reason. Well… I think that’s the main reason. I’m not the most organized, and I don’t really keep track of this sort of thing. The others might be here just to dress up. I dunno. All this pretending confuses me.”

Nick sighs. “Shh. The people who are responsible for the teleportation are in this city, somewhere. They’re pulling random people from other universes for a dangerous game show. Someone hacked the teleporter and put us here so we can try to stop it. You don’t have to help us if you don’t want to, but if we fail you’ll probably be sent along with us. I made the producers mad and they put me in a volcano; this could be much worse.” 
He pauses. “I’m Nick, by the way. It is honestly nice to meet you - most of the places we’ve been sent so far are quite lonely.”

She's right. They're adding new planets to the sequence, and it'll take time. Start moving into the city, I can guide you to the building with the teleporter in it.

It'll take about half an hour to get to the Teleporter. Once there, you want a long time in case you need to run, and try again to break in and destroy it. Also, if you turn around and walk straight, there should be a creek going through the park where you can get some water.
