Yeah, his appearance definitely feels more Hoid-ish. The thing is that Hoid has such a minor role in Mistborn (maybe the movie will do that differently), plus I'm saving Hoid for Tom Hiddleston. An idea earlier in the thread was to have him as the voice of Ruin, which I think could totally work as well.

But if he plays a Cosmere character, I'm fully on board with the Wayne idea.

He could totally do Wayne, but I feel like in that case a great British accent and a much more Hoid-ish range of emotions would go to waste, and that would be unfortunate. Speaking of accents, I'm just now remembering that Wayne would have to be good with voices. Considering that, I vote for Andy Serkis as Wayne. (Kidding, mostly). 

Tom Hiddleston could do an excellent job as Wayne, though, so I'm okay either way.

I could definitely see a young version of Hailee Steinfeld playing Vin, for instance.

About Kelsier... I don't know, but for some reason I've always saw him with the Bradley Cooper vibes.

My Elend has always been Andrew Garfield, dunno why but that was his face in my mind all along.

Then we have Sazed. I believe Chiwetel Ejiofor could do an interesting play of him.

Then, Timothy Omundson needs to play Breeze. Anybody who's seen the unknown and underrated Galavant would be with me on this one.

For Ham, I'd go straight for Chris Hemsworth. Why not.

Then... Who else? Ah, Dockson. I'd bring Michael Fassbender for this one.

I also believe that Jeffrey Dean Morgan would play a quite decent Clubs.

For Marsh I'd choose maybe a younger Liam Neeson. For the pre-inquisitor looks, at least.

And I think Timothée Chalamet can do just fine with Spook.

 

That's it for the bright side of the story!

Then I'd cast Alexander Skarsgård and wear him a nice long wig. He'd do a nice Lord Ruler.

Jeremy Irons would be an interesting Straff Venture, I believe.

Last but not least... Zane? Barry Keoghan, maybe.

Oh, and I'd bring names such as Bill Skarsgård just for the fun of making them play the steel inquisitors.

My only Timothy Omundson experience has been Psych!, which I don't think is representative of his general typecasting, but other than that these all look like really solid choices for their roles!

About 15 years ago I was living on the streets in incredibly depressing conditions, my only safe space was a small lot behind the local library in Holyhead that was fenced off. There was a spot where if you lay just right you could watch rain fall whilst staying dry and nobody could bother you unless they wanted to climb the steel fence which never happened. Sandersons books kept me goin through those nights. I sent him a message back then thanking him for his writing and telling him if he ever gets a movie I'm going to audition for it. I intend to do just that as soon as auditions are announced, it might be difficult because I live in Japan, but I don't care if I fail, I am auditioning. 

So as to who should be cast, me. 

I suggest you all give it a go too, why not, wouldn't it be incredible?
