There are some interesting WoB regarding spren as god metals. this makes me wonder about a dead spren, he uses the term "alive" and in a different WoB he says that if a spren is dead then it could be used as a hemalurgic spike so, if a spren was turned into a bead and then killed, via the breaking of a nahel bond, it should be able to be swallowed by a normal person, since it would be a god metal. is there any reason this wouldnt work? I have more questions about god metals but i fear we just don't know enough yet and I hope we get access to more god metals in the ghostbloods and era 4 books.

thanks, i looked at your post in the 17th shard introduction thing but couldnt find a definition for this term. i didn't realize there was a detailed policy thing with all the rules... also one more question, how do i quote WoB? do i just do the spoiler thing an dcopy and paste it into that?

okay. thanks for the clarification

I'm relatively new to the 17th shard and keep seeing the term "necro'd" and im really confused as to what this means

Inconsistent Consequences of Shard Clashes (Spoilers for WaT and HoA)
Joltizard1337 replied to dstokes7's question in Cosmere Q&A
Maybe, the battle between Vin and Ati was in the cognitive realm and the clash between Odium and Honor was more physical. I don't know why that would be the case though. although, I really like the explanation about how Vin was fighting to save rather than destroy and Ati was just protecting himself (at least the way I interpreted it) so the battle "preserved" scadrial, while the clash between Odium and Honor was purely to destroy, causing the destruction of stormseat. -
A pulser could most definitely pass time this way if they had enough cadmium as for the negative effect of cadmium savantism, I think there's natural consequences from basically time travelling. your money wouldn't be as valuable anymore unless you invest it into the right stuff and then travel. for example, imagine its 2010 and you buy 200 Bitcoin and then go to your house set up a bubble and wait till 2026 you'll now be a millionaire but everyone you know will have changed if they're even still alive. although, it'd be hilarious to meet Khriss, or someone like her, at the ball in New Seran-for example-and then meeting her again in era 3 I think it might be similar to pewter savantism where you're so used to it you don't feel pain anymore. This might manifest, for a pulser, as they observe time weirdly; maybe losing track of time or feeling like things are taking too long all the time. Everyday feels like ten years to them because when they're in a speed bubble it literally is (this is hyperbolic but I bet a savant could compress that much time into a day) as for the needing a safe space, if anything enters the bubble they're also slowed. unless someone was shooting at you from outside the bubble, which would make the bullet go crazy, you'd be generally safe. if it was high enough calliber it might have enough momentum to just keep going but I don't think we know enough about the momentum shenanigans to confirm that.

on the Feruchemy table it lists chromium as what stores fortune on coppermind it says fortune is related to luck, visions of the future, or versions of the future I love this strat but there's no fun in knowing I'm gonna win and electrum shows you your future not necessarily the cards' future so you'd could see your future and then gradually draw more from the metalmind and see when you win but I don't think that's possible because Electrum only lets you see a moment into your future.

Who does kaladin like romantically - vote
Joltizard1337 replied to Deception's topic in Stormlight Archive
my opinion on this is he needs people around him and if a romantic partner is what makes him happy then I'm there for it, but if he's happy without one I'm also there for it. I just want my boy to be happy and I don't care how he achieves it -
Ancient Egypt lasted so long Cleopatra lived closer to the moon landing than the construction of the Giza pyramids

I think dragons are really cool and I cant wait to figure out more about them in the cosmere. my favorite character so far is probably either Wayne or Kaladin. I think the canon most iconic duo is Wax and Wayne but if I had to choose, I'd love an adventure with Hoid and Wayne teaming up. I love Wayne. my favorite twinborn combo is probably A-pewter just for everyday convenience and F-Chromium for gamba gamba. I say that mostly in gest but think about it, I could play a couple rounds where Im unlucky and then when people start betting bigger (expecting me to lose) I could draw from the metal mind and become super lucky

I've been reading Brandon Sanderson since January and since then I've read all of the mistborn books, stormlight 1-3.5 and, about half of RoW at the time of writing this. I've had Brandon Sanderson recommended to me by multiple friends and my older sister. at one point she even read a bit of way of kings to me ( i don't remember what part but I remember thinking the name kaladin was just the coolest). I love the way Brandon writes and how much there is too contemplate and theorize about. I was in this stupor where i couldn't read and didn't know what to read for the past three years and then I finally caved and read The Final Empire for an English reading group thing and now i've read 8000 pages and almost 3 million words in 4 months and i've loved every scene and moment (even the slower pace of WoA)

Yeah, i realized halfway through I was using the wrong term what about the aethers on lumar? aren't they unrelated to a shard and invested?

I cant find it at all, Ive looked through the first three books' epigraphs and cant find it. I think might have read something adjacent to that somewhere and conflated it
