If you could play a part in a Stormlight Movie
Vatsug replied to Vielence's topic in Stormlight Archive
Yeah, he looks the part for sure. I hope they're going for mostly unknown actors for the main characters however. I don't really like this trend of casting a-listers in everything. Give some new up and coming actors a shot instead and get one or two big names for side characters. -
We know that there is a lot of foreshadowing going on in Brandons work, and there's a lot of stuff that a careful reader can pick up on, and some things that are not so subtle. What things did you correctly predict on your first read through? My correct predictions were: - Shallan has a shardblade - Shallan killed her father - Shallan has two shardblades/spren - Kaladin killed Helaran - Adolins shardblade. I didn't guess the exact details, but figured pretty early that his sword would end up being sentient. When Maya was fully revealed I also guessed that she would regain her conciousness at a convenient time to help Adolin. - Elokhar wasn't crazy, he was seeing spren. - Jasnah didn't die when the ship sank. Ok this one was pretty easy but still. right ro the start I was sure she wasn't actually dead. - Gavinor was going to have a larger part to play. Didn't guess the specifics, but I was fairly certain that Gavinor was going to be more important than it initially seemed. There might be some more, but these are the ones that springs to mind. I also had some incorrect guesses too of course.

This is just a fancast right? Can't see any official announcement about any cast for Stormlight (or Mistborn for that matter) -
Hammond or Breeze probably. Think I would prefer Breeze though!

I don't know the answer, but I think I would prefer it if her illness was natural.
-
4 And I really hope one of the other three options never comes true.

My favourite character is probably Adolin. However, Dalinar and Jasnah are also up there. For least favourite, I would probably say Lift, Venli, and perhaps controversially, Szeth. Lift I think becomes a bit better as the series goes on, but the writing in her chapters feel quite jarring. Venli is, eh. I'm not nearly as invested in the Singers as I am in the other characters, and she's the main Singer we follow. I don't really hate Szeth or anything, but I liked him much more prior to WaT. He was very cool as the assassin in white, but I feel like the more we got to know him, the less I liked him. However, it might be because I didn't really like the Shinnovar parts of WaT, and he gets the blame for all of it.

What are the best Wind and Truth moments?
Vatsug replied to Lesser spren's topic in Stormlight Archive
For me, the strongest parts of the book by far was the stuff with Adolin. In particular, the scenes with Adolin fighting in Azimir. Also the scenes with Taln. -
Probably pewter tbh. Tin would be good, but pewter seems more useful. Especially the ability to withstand injury.

Just need to put him in a fat suit. Or get him to do a Christian Bale and do a full body transformation. Apperence wise, he feels much more closer to someone like Hoid than Breeze. I could see it though!

If we ignore reality and just go by who I would *like* to play, I would say Dalinar or Adolin. Probably Adolin. If we go by who I could realistically play, then probably Renarin. Or I guess Szeth. As a northen european I have the eyes and the complexion lol. Although it would be cool to play something weird, like a spren. Maybe Pattern? -
What the “dog who became a dragon” story is an allegory for
Vatsug replied to coolsnow7's topic in Stormlight Archive
I'm not sure the story is allegorical at all, but probably metaphorical. While I can't remember the exact details of the story, but I took it to be about accepting who you are and you are, and your limitations while also realising you're capable of great things. Like, the dog was able to pull of some amazing feats despite not being a dragon. The dog is good enough as he is and was able to accomplish things no other dog could. -
Hey! Nice, Windrunners are cool. Although I will say that my two highest scoring were Elsecaller and Bondsmith I like almost all kinds of music, but most of my day to day listens are some kind of rock or metal. Bruce Springsteen and Nick Cave are two personal musical heroes. And I probably have several weird traits but might not be the best person to figure out what they are lol. I (usually) eat sandwiches so that there the center piece is left for last, instead of eating end to end. I guess that might be a bit weird?

Way of Kings. A friend nagged me for a long time, and eventually I kind of randomly picked it up at the local nerd store.
