What if the movie was animated (not anime)? That way they could just draw the characters and make them exactly as they were described.

That would be sick, as not only would it be an epic movie but it would have the essence of Brandon Sanderson's vivid imagery!

Were they described? I remember Kelsier being hawkish, Vin being small, and Clubs being weathered but isn't that kinda it?

I think they were described through Vin's perspective, which focused more on what type of person they looked like than their actual features.

Kelsier should definitely be blond with a cocky look.

and Vin, obviously short black hair.

This may be a little off-topic, but who would make a good composer for the score of the film? I would tend to favor maybe Hans Zimmer. Possibly a John Powell and James Newton Howard collaboration?

Looks wise, Charlie Vickers as Kelsier

And Joseph Mawle as the Lord Ruler

And I haven’t watched Game of Thrones but Nikolaj Coster-Waldau has the look of an incredible Kelsier, although he’s a bit old now

Okay I haven't seen rings of power and was about to seriously question that when I first saw search results for Charlie Vickers Rings of Power, but then I removed rings of power and I can absolutely see that.

Don't have a solid mental image of the Lord Ruler and haven't seen anything with Joseph Mawle in it, so can't judge that very well. Would depend on if he can pull off the scenes well

Aaaand yep Nikolaj Coster-Waldau would work amazingly for Kelsier.

For kelsier casting though it'd depend a lot on who they cast for Vin, and I personally hope they cast someone who's relatively unknown for Vin tbh. Was about to say Elizabeth Dulau (Kleya in Andor) who would definitely be able to pull off Vin, but then I realized A) not going to be able to play a 16 year old and B ) (space bc the shard auto-emojis) I am probably saying that bc I liked andor a ridiculous amount.

Unfortunately I haven't watched enough recent stuff to be able to fancast well other than that

He plays a somewhat similar character in Rings of Power - enough that he is definitely able to carry the gravitas and give the ancient feel

I think the problem with casting Vin is that actresses the right age just aren't famous enough. Like... I don't know any teen actresses that I see playing Vin
