Well, sparks. Looks like all that was for nothing, then.

He dismissed his sword and looked around. Pic, Lundyn, Elan, and Aventine drifted in the void. He opened his mouth to call to them, but then the hovercraft appeared.

He let himself slowly drift towards the yellow craft.

There was the sound of shattering glass around them as reality fractured around each of them, adjusting to unfamiliar beings in this other world. Each of them, except for Thaidakar.

"Ahh, yes," Thaidakar said calmly, "Home." He shifted his form, turning towards what seemed like exactly as the rest of the area and closed his eyes. A bright light shimmered from him and he changed forms into his Soulless form.

Snaking black scales, glowing red eyes, and a cravat shaped bit of cream on his chest, Thaidakar began to slither away from the group. His tail swished around the group as he ejected himself away to... well, that would be soon to be seen.

As for everyone else left there, they would continue falling forever, only eachother and the endless void below for company. Never to eat food again, never to feel solid ground beneath them, and never to see the clinic again.

That was, until a solemn voice from a bright yellow hovercraft that had just arrived in the area said, as she kept pace with them as they fell, "You need a lift, or are you doing this for the experience?" Mostly to herself, she said, "Only arrogant buggers with nothing to lose do this for fun, if ya ask me... aint that right?" She pushed a button on the craft and a quirky tune played. 

A mental projection shot into Quinn's mind. I was here first. Get in line.
