"There was another fight going on," Aventine said, though the memory was vague. "We should try to see if we can help."

"I don't really like to sit still. Since I got here, it's been move, move, move. I've had a break the last 22 years of my life, in terms of work. I kind of like always doing something. Besides, if we're both mentally broken, we could try to fight fire with fire, right?

"Well... I guess I'll just wander, then." She started walking off in random directions.

"Aventine, hold on," Pic hummed, then sighed. He turned to Not-Roy.

"Look, I can't leave you alone yet, and I don't think I ever got your name," he hummed.

"What he said. And give Roy his body back."

"I can't. He's probably long gone by now." Quinn shrugged yet again. "Not much I can do."

1 hour ago, Cash67 said:

"Frankly, for you to not kill anyone. Barring that, you to leave."

"Leave to where?" Quinn never addressed the killing part.

"Well, my name is Pic. Nice to meet you, and all of the other things people normally say," he hummed. "Now, what do we do with you?" he asked. "You just attempted to kill a few of us, and the Clinic kinda frowns on that."

Neither did Thaidakar. All that he knew at the moment was that he wanted to leave, and as fast as possible.

It was ironic. He'd just recently come back from an extended leave, but now he was off again. Anywhere. As long as he was alone.

Thaidakar fell to the ground on his knees in front of a door, finally. Alone.

He knew logically that bookwyrm was behind him, he knew logically that there were people that wanted to help him in some way.

He knew all of these things.

Yet there is a deeper knowledge that lies in all of us. A knowledge of being, a thing that lies in our souls. Thaidakar knew that, in several experiences, he was more alone than a man can be in reality. The door in front of him was more familiar to him than his right hand. a red glowing tear fell to the ground, burning through the stone tile.

Is this a door Bookwyrm would recognize?

"No I - ", Pic stopped himself from getting dragged into an argument. "This is the Clinic. Many people come here to find a safe space, one that doesn't throw them out on sight, a place where they can practice or supress their magic without hurting anyone. It is a place to heal. Hence the no coming in and stealing souls bit."

"Again, may I bring up the point that someone attacked me in the Clinic?" Quinn sighed. "So how does this relate to the emotionally unstable girl who has the black magic and was asking me how I knew 'him' or the girl who knocked out the lights and dematerialized?"

“Emotional healing and safe magic practice,” Pic hummed. “Both are things that I’ve done while I’ve been here.”

“the broken ones. The lost ones. Those who have been hurt beyond repair.”

I think that some people can. Especially if they are telepathic

Pic shrugged. “What kind doesn’t?”

Elan's eyes were glowing black as he studied hundreds of pasts, hundreds of worlds much like the one he was on.

This one didn't survive. So many times, all the people he knew died. But he watched. He wanted to know... needed to know. What was happening. What was coming. Something was coming. Something was always coming.

But this something is different. He thought to himself. This something is... No. He wouldn't think about that. If he didn't it wouldn't happen.

Still, he couldn't shake the memory of the world. The clinic. Burning, fading, melting, it was always different. But one thing was the same every time he had watched: A man, too familiar, with glowing black eyes.

He stood up, his eyes fading back to their normal blue. He needed to help. It would come soon, but not yet. They had time.

Wait.

Something was here.

Something else. Not the thing, but something dangerous.

He felt it.

He... knew it? No. No, he hadn't been here long. The name was familiar... Thaidakar? That's... that's from... no. No, different thing. He shook his head. There were too many voices, too many memories. This wasn't that Thaidakar. He was dead. Not from here.

This one was alive.

This one was... messed up.

I should help... right? He thinks to himself.

He nods, though of course no one is there to see.

Then he dematerialized, his consciousness floating around, as he searched the clinic to find the being that was Thaidakar.

Not sure if you want to be disturbed so I'm giving wiggle room for me not to find you?

As person who I know in the clinic, figured I'd mention you too.

Quinn didn't respond, or if Quinn heard him, he did not make any motion to indicate so.
