Tal flinched and stood up. "We will." He walked over to Aventine/Arukai sorry I'm terrible with names and Pic, gesturing for Addison to follow.

Addison followed him, her burns almost completely gone. She began shaking as the pain hit her. Not just the pain from the current burns, but all the pain she should have felt in the fire. She fell to the floor, thrashing with silent screams.

Tal's eyes widened. He bent down, reaching out, then stopped. "Aventine, help."

"I-I'm Akarui right now. And I've done too much - if I start healing again, I'll pass out, and then I won't be able to do anything. But maybe..."

She knelt down and her hand hovered above Addison. While the burns did not heal, a sense of peace and calm washed over her, pulling her towards sleep and rest.

"Right," Tal muttered.

Jar Man wiggles his way out of his bonds and runs over, running on adrenaline, injects a needle into Addison.

"Control yourself." A flash of rage crossed Tal's eyes. You should be satisfied!

Me? That was all you...I'm not the only one who's hungry.

Addison slowly stopped shaking, her breathing ragged. “What…what was that?”

"Just calming you down. Unfortunately, I can't do much to help you physically, right now."

“I mean…the pain. I don’t understand what happened. Thank you to.” Her voice was shaky, and her hands trembled as she stood on wobbly knees.

"You seemed fine in the fire. Delayed pain response, maybe?" The black energy that Jar Man had (to her surprise) broken out of fully returned to her palm.

The energy wrapped around him again and held him down to the bed. She smirked at him with a mischievous look in her eyes that seemed to say, "I can do this all day."

"Those burns are bad, though. We'll need to find something to clean them up with, then bandage you. They'll get infected."

The burns were not nearly as bad as they should have been, in fact, they seemed to be healing quickly, fading from her skin.

"I gave you a dose of a strong painkiller... I'm fairly certain it didn't do that."

“Huh.” Her eyelids drooped. “I’m…tired.”
