Everything is ruined forever, IT and management are running around like madpeople, and I can't do many of my regular tasks. Ah, well. It's not like I really needed to do any work today... 3

My workplace is usually very good with system upgrades... but, then again, we actually TEST them and have an exit strategy just in case.

T...test? Test...the systems? What is this madness of which you speak?! (Actually, they thought that everything had been tested on this version. They were wrong.)

I said I'd go with the ones she gave me, but to stop. So what does she do today? Sends me a posting for the University of North Dakota....in the payroll department. Maybe she meant it in a more friendly way, but what I see is "Hi! I know you told me to stop, but I think you're so desperate you need to take anything, and too dumb to find it on your own." And of course, if I were to confront her about this, I could very well prompt a "You need to get on top of things, and you haven't been on top of things" lecture. Please, please pray/hope/send out good thoughts that I get a job soon. I don't know how much more of this I can take. Edit: Okay, it looks like there are a few library postings on that page. She didn't apply to the job for you, like you were saying she was doing. Instead, she simply sent you a possibility, and is leaving the judgement of applying or not up to you. If anything, it sounds like she's trying to be nice, though it does seem to be in a rather passive aggressive way. Just keep looking on the bright side of things! 1
