You're looking at this wrong. You now have a study-partner for Spanish.  :D  I mean, Spanish is a spoken language... you need to practice it, and you really can not effectively do so on your own. So quit letting your education suffer! :P

Also, you can not avoid life, so just live it! B)

I can't do that. I've only just recently and barely gotten over my social anxiety. I have always thrived at working alone, or with someone I know well. But this came completely out of left field. Maybe if I start advertizing my brony status, she'll leave me alone...

As feared my recent experience of flying has brought on another group of Cluster Headaches. Which means no or very little sleep for the next month or so in addition to wanting to yank my eye and/or brain out. :(
Plus side, medication makes writting RP posts way more fun so there's that I guess.

If you want to explore the possibility of a romantic relationship, do it. It'll give you a chance to practice flirting and might help build your confidence. If you're not, tell her you just want to be friends for now. Trust me, she'll appreciate the honesty.

I did. First day of class in fact. Another guy was listening to us talk and went "ahh,  they're flirting!" Then, I told him "Koby, I have absolutely no interest in having a girl friend. They would only be a distraction, and would take away from what little free time I have. Why would I flirt?" Oh well. Some things just can't be helped I guess.

And guess who believes you when you say that? No one. Even when it's true from a rational standpoint, you don't believe it deep down and neither does anyone else. :P

Speaking of which, the finest moment in my life was when a sophomore in college asked for my number. I was a junior in high school. This was only a few months ago. None of the achievements that I've ever made compared to the emotional rush I got at that moment.

But ssssshhh. Don't tell anyone. I don't need a girlfriend because they would be a distraction.

In case you were wondering, I politely declined and exited the situation. I have this thing about long-distance high-school relationships. I don't think they ever have a chance.

Dear customer: When I answer the phone with "Please hold," it means "I am currently helping a customer who arrived before you called. I wish to give them good service, and making them wait so I can answer the phone is rude." It does NOT mean "I'm playing hard to get! Hang up and call back in two seconds, because I might answer you then! No, doing this four times in a row isn't ridiculous! It's FUN!" What if I told you that doing this EXTENDS your wait time, because I have to keep rushing back and forth to keep up with your endless phone calls?

Answering a phone with "Please hold?"  <points> SHAME!

If you can't talk, don't pick up.

I didn't get the job here in town. :( And here I was thinking it was one of the few I actually had a shot at....

Maybe you were their second choice...  ;) You know, you can contact them and ask them why they did not chose you. Usually, companies react positively to this kind of initiative and they may offer pointers for future interviews. In the advent they get another open position, it would increase your chances.

What would be the best way to go about asking that? I mean, how should I phrase it?

You call them and you said you passed the interview for the job. Whereas you know your application was not retained, you were hoping to have more insight as to why. You re-emphasize your strong desire to work as a librarian and that you are really looking for pointers to help you find a similar position elsewhere. You conclude by stating you value their time and whatever help they could provide is really appreciated.

The worst that could happen is they won't have time for you and they'll respond in a hurry something boring. However, there are many small companies who would value such initiative and will be glad to help you. In any case, it can't hurt.

I know it demands some courage to call them back and it may not pan into anything, but maybe it will. If it works, then you'll know what to work on for your next interview. Getting feedback is the best way to improve yourself and help you get the job you want.

What would be the best way to go about asking that if I want an answer instead of "Somebody call the police!"?

Great, how was I suppose to know you wanted that?! :P

When she becomes a teenager you'll miss the days when that was the biggest annoyance.

Last night, my workplace ran a major upgrade to various systems.

Half of our systems are now not working.  Everything is ruined forever, IT and management are running around like madpeople, and I can't do many of my regular tasks.

Ah, well.  It's not like I really needed to do any work today...
