District III was the closest to the castle, which was in a sector of its own, but as was with the eventful meeting he had just attended, Anders wanted a bit of subterfuge. He'd cleared the Tentaculum ship personally, answering no questions from the security workers, and left without a word towards the mountain. He didn't really think he could hold this meeting without the Council knowing, especially Tiana, but he didn't really mind. A negotiation on his own terms was a statement in and of itself.

Plus, he doubted the Council wanted to bother themselves with a people so... specially regarded as the Tentaculum. Anders himself almost was nervous. Nervous enough to bring a full castle guard squadron, and arm himself as well.

He and his guard arrived early, and had barely settled when the shadow of the approaching ship past overhead. Good, he thought. It's never smart to arrive at a meeting on your own turf late.

Full surrender of all people. Or full obliteration.— the transmission sends back.

I’m afraid I cannot choose a life under your rule for my people. But I can’t accept obliteration either.

The evacuation ships continue their jump away from the known Star cluster, to where the Fiioss won’t be able to track them. They will begin their search for a new home.

Were you fine with this? Cause to me it kind of looked like Scars/Wit just did the same thing Unint did and decided to end the war before it even started :P.

But otherwise-- most of what I've been doing is inner-house political stuff, and I've never RPd as my House (like you won't ever see me posting 'House Durral does ____'), it's always from the perspective of the characters I created. So if you have half of your people still, do some character things. Find someone else who will do character things with you, that kind of thing.

On the shuttles:

Icaai sighed as he stared at the porthole of the ship. This wasn’t how this was supposed to happen. He thought. This is really unfortunate.
Footsteps approached him from behind. A Ydras man stopped beside him. “So you’re the one who started the rebellion?” He asked.

Icaai nodded.

“Good for you. I’ve been waiting for that to happen. No one ever did listen to my warnings, though.”

“Who are you?” Icaai asked.

“Kayde.” The Ydras said. “I captured Lord Yaelar. His days are over. Unfortunately, it costed our home.”

“Well, we need leadership. I guess you and I are the best options.”

“Yeah.”

“We will find a new planet, right?” Icaai asked.

“We have to.” Kayde responded.

The traitor, Kayde, walked away from the Hydif rebel leader. They did have to find a home. Turning back meant death. A beep came from one of the navicomputors. They were set to detect any large celestial bodies. They pulled out of the jump in a new Star cluster, in a new galaxy. Floating in front of their ship was a large planet, covered in blues and greens.

“This…” Kayde said. “This just might work.”

On Yaelar:

There was one thing good about Fiioss rule: Hydif and Ydras were treated equally. They both had to do extensive labor in mines, factories, and farms. They both went home hungry.

The Hydif had gone from one awful life to another. The Fiioss were extremely enraged at the Ydras for the bombing, and the taxes were extremely high. As Fyaa walked to a meeting she contemplated this.

She entered the meeting place, a small cave with around 5-6 other people, Ydras and Hydif alike.

“This,” She said to them, “Has to end.”

"Y..y...you're...you..." She gave up trying to come up with a sentence and instead went with a single word.

"Jafek?"

"Jafek," the Gjx mused. It sounded... familiar? But that was not its name.

"I am the Gjx," it corrected her. Suddenly, a recollection flashed. "You are... Jafek's sister?"

—Ah, yes, of course. And we will of course get to that. But we come here for another purpose. We wish to make an alliance. The sort to make the world's tremble.—

The ship creaked further as a different hatch opened. A machine, perhaps the size of a car, was lifted out by drones.

Another Tentaculum came forth with it. —A prototype mech, not anywhere near true size, but quite the marvel, yes?—

It was shaped rather like a Tentaculum, an omnidirectional Sphere with many limbs coming out of it, each with their own purpose.

The ambassador continued. —I bear the full authority of the Grand-Emperor in all negotiations. With the power of your mech technology to make this a reality, the Tentaculum forces would be unstoppable. And those who helped us reach such power would not be forgotten.—

She looked at the machine. —So while this would be a trade, it would be... an odd sort of trade. The kind that gave both of us vastly more wealth than we began with.—

The ambassador seemed, well, the best word for it would be flushed, excited. —We don't just want your Durralium, we don't just want your mechs, we want your engineers, we want your armies, and we want to crush anyone who stands in our way.—

Anders was at a loss for words. He had expected... he didn't know what, but not this.

His first instinct was to accept the offer. He was naturally power hungry, and the Tentaculum were offering nigh-unstoppable power. But that power wouldn't be controlled by Anders, or even the Council. To freely give such potential to an already well-decorated war nation for merely the promise of protection and alliance would be more than foolhardy.

He began to regret his decision to leave the Council out of this. They would have many opinions on the matter, and for once Anders wanted them.

And the mech. It was a gross imitation at best. With durralium, it had potential, but in its current state the Tentaculum might as well have hefted a rotting corpse.

"What a generous proposal!" Anders began, even though it wasn't. "That would be a big step for us. Our durralium is our most prized and valuable resource, as I'm sure you know. We wouldn't give it out lightly." He purposely avoided mentioning the mechs, whether his own or the Tentaculum approximation.

"While initially I thought I needn't bother the Council with this trade, I'm realizing this is bigger than one man," Anders said smoothly. Best the Tentaculum didn't detect any separation between the ruling bodies of Astor. "Why don't we move this conversation there, where we can have more minds to discuss the matter?"

This is a record of the conversation between House Ancasia and House Derose earlier.

---------------------------------

Aurelia Natalya spoke first.

"We are so glad to be able to be here, House Derose.”

Fiona nods to her, the entire royal family sits around the end of the banquet table. They all stand over the contract waiting for it to become official. Aurelia Natalya sat down at the head of the table. The Ancasian heirs sat on either side of her at the table, watching her read through the contract. The Ancasian guards kept close watch, while the officials wrote everything down. Aurelia Natalya set down the alliance, looked up, and addressed the room.

“Before we sign the alliance, let us negotiate a few terms. We expect that your troops are to be at our aid when called for," Aurelia Natalya said, with a hint of admonition.

Headmistress Fiona looks up to her eldest daughter and first heir to the throne, Eleanor. She undoubtedly has incredible skill in leading military forces. Eleanor nods back.

“We do agree.”

“Of course, we will offer the same," Emresse Janesse said.
"Yes. Our troops will automatically come to each other's aid if the other is being attacked," Elwyn Jacquos added.
A pause lingered at the table before one of the heirs spoke up.
"However, the same is not offered if one of us declares war on someone else." Elwyn Calsandro said, firmly.

Fiona raises her eyebrow.

“No aid for declaration of war?”

"Not at first," Elwyn Calasandro corrected.

“This is, obviously, unless you ask specifically for resources from us, in which case we would be happy to provide you with assistance," Elwyn Jacquos said.

"This goes both ways in the alliance, of course.” Aurelia Natalya said from the head of the table. She twirled the pen in her hands as she looked straight into Fiona's eyes.

Fiona seems skeptical of this, but this is an excellent alliance to have.

“We also expect that our houses will combine our technical and tactical resources along with special, high intelligence or artificial intelligence when requested." Aurelia Natalya continued.

"Each year, we will organize a trading deal between our Houses to ensure the maintenance of the alliance," Elwyn Alesandresa said.

Fiona nods and the director of the trade department also nods from the other side of the room.

“What would you have to offer, and what is it that you lack?" Aurelia Natalya asked.

“We specialize in steel making and construction of valuable metals, however we do not have a well developed starship making industry. In trade for transportation we could offer steel and valuable metals.” Fiona presses her fingertips together. This seems to be a stable alliance to her.

Elwyn Miraben began to speak, but was shut down by his mother when he saw her glare.

"Our fuel resources aren't nearly fully developed, we must admit. Our transportation is also not developed to its full potential." Aurelia Natalya revealed.

"However, we are working towards new solutions to transportation." Emresse Tatianya added.

"Yes. We have a large aerospace industry and research into effective spaceships for war. We actually have been..." Aurelia Natalya glanced around quickly and lowered her voice. "We've been trying to develop a... say, newer technology for our aerospace industry. One that shoots ships at incredibly high speeds. It hasn't been successful yet, but our research developers are working hard and approaching a product. We would be willing to combine our efforts with yours to assist in your transportation. However, we have less need for valuable metals, as we have caves with mining materials within them. Do you have any fuel resources? If not, we also are lacking in artificial intelligence, hacking and computer work, and FTL communication systems."

Judas, eldest son of Fiona, speaks up. “Yes we do currently have very fast working communication and AI terminals. Using our communication and trade departments we can easily send your resources.”

Atlas Derose steps forward raising his hand slightly. “We are currently looking into expanding our research and trade terminals to find new ways to make Axiom and Maxim Crystals if possible, or simpler ways to gain it.”

"Perfect. So, each year, we will meet with you to share our latest transportation advancement and development," Ereso Celestin summarized. He looked over to Elwyn Jacquos who gave him a reassuring nod.

"Meanwhile, you will share the limited resources for FTL you have now." Elwyn Alesandresa reminded House Derose, looking into Fiona's eyes.

"This way it will provide insurance that the alliance will be mutually beneficial. Our houses rely on each other."  Emresse Janesse explained hastily, with a soft voice.

Claude's face goes slightly darker. He doesn’t like this agreement, not one bit. Hardly beneficial in his opinion. It's all going to give the people even more reason to rebel.

Fiona however nods. Getting a proper alliance at this time could be crucial to continuing to control the planet they are currently on and researching new methods of FTL faster.

Aurelia Natalya smiled. "That is acceptable. Elwyns?"

All four nodded. Elwyn Calsandro seemed a little upset, and Elwyn Miraben just looked annoyed that he couldn't speak. Elwyn Alesandra and Elwyn Jacquos both were quite happy with the agreement, however.

Aurelia Natalya then looked at Emresse Janesse, Ereso Celestin, and Emresse Tatianya.

They all politely confirmed that they were satisfied with the negotiation.

After the Royal Council and Royal Advisory weighed in their opinions, which took considerably long, the House Ancasia had come to a consensus among themselves. This was a beneficial alliance.

Avian Zephyr set a comforting hand on Aurelia Natalya's arm. She looked at him, smiling. Her husband had been very quiet the entire meeting, for he knew she had to concentrate. She placed her hand over his for a moment, then took the pen and placed it at the line waiting for House Ancasia's signature.

The Aurelia looked at the heirs, back at House Derose, then, without hesitation, signed extravagantly on the paper.

Fiona brings the pen down to the paper signing the contract, one by one each heir signed the paper alongside her. A new public alliance is made.

It was then that Elwyn Jacquos received an urgent message on his transmitter. His eyes widened, and he got up from his chair. Then, he walked up to Aurelia Natalya and whispered something in her ear. She stood up, addressing her house royals, advisory, council, the guards, and the government officials.

"Our representatives sent to Nexus have been attacked. Emresse Marianla Ancasia is the only survivor. We have lost Emresse Xandin, along with multiple government officials and Ancasian warriors." Aurelia Natalya announced.

A silence fell over the room, and the Ancasians bowed their heads.

The House Aurelia turned to the House Derose.

"There has been an attack on Nexus during the conference. The capitol has been nuked by House Yaelar, and the capitol is now in the hands of the Ydras. If you excuse us, we will leave by evening today. Thank you for hosting us. We are honored to have this alliance, and look forward to our future partnership. House Ancasia, you have one hour until we depart for Karal."

Avian Zephyr sent a transmission through the radio back to House Ancasia, letting them know of their near departure from Drukarus.

The Deroses nod and Eleanor quickly picks up the edge of her dress and runs off towards the communication offices.

Elenor Derose stands inside the communication offices. Many serpentarii sit in chairs around them, typing furiously and clicking through data. Little robotic voices echo chaotically.
[System Offline] [Shutting Down]

The communication suddenly goes black and everything goes silent. The entire royal family stands in complete darkness. This was the moment they had been waiting for. Upon shutting down the system it would reboot, and rebooting meant the line is cut all across Drukarus for two minutes. Once the system rebooted, they would add several new channels. Public channels to the people of Drukarus would open to communicate with the people. Their assistance may be necessary soon enough.
Suddenly one corner light in the far end of the room lights up, then another, then another, the room then explodes in light. The screen loads up and Eleanor smiles.

“Prepare the draft announcement.” Headmistress Fiona says beside her.
“We shall be preparing our troops to join Ancasia in their future endeavors.”
