Lord Yaelar nervously paced in his ship. This was bad. They weren’t prepared for this, he shouldn’t have been so brash. But that would mean stopping everything he was preparing for. His army wasn’t prepared for this. They were supposed to wait until the houses had been weakened, then strike! It was too late, though. Nexus had been nuked, and his ships launched. Lord Yaelar would probably be dead before the month was done.

 

A transmission came from the Ydras army to Jropoux. Attention. It said. This is general Faearr of the Ydras army. It has come to our notice that you harbor a traitor to our house. Half of our army, which is 300 ships strong, is on its way to your planet. If you return the traitor to when they arrive you will be saved. If not, you risk invasion by the Ydras. 

 

The traitor listened to the transmission. “That’s a lie.” He says. “The fleet is only about 100 ships strong. And I’m guessing some of them remained behind to guard the planet. Only about 50 is what you’d have to deal with.” He was at least a little nervous. What if they did turn him in? He would be executed for sure. He would just have to trust that the people of Jropoux were better than his own.

A group of Ydras fighters flew through space at FTL speed. They were heading to Fiioss. Unlike the group heading to Jropoux, they weren’t going to wait to fight. The moment they arrived war would break out.

House Tolls is progressing in its tests to manufacture new and faster spaceships. So far, all attempts have been mostly fruitless. Estimation on the finishing on the project has stretched into next year. The scientific committee is rather annoyed.

The three ships that left Tolls in random flight patterns have settled on nearby, uninhabited planets. They aren't doing much else though.

 

 

Another voice message has been picked up on all general receivers. It appears to have come from the general direction of Tolls.

I am sorry but we cannot, in good conscience, send your pilot back to your people as we believe he would not have much protection. We will advise you against sending any ships into our domain, especially considering that your planet is the furthest from ours in the entire galaxy -- effectively allowing our allies to come to our aid much sooner than your arrival. Do know that if you send ships of any kind into our domain it will be considered as a declaration of war and we will be forced to retaliate.

Deep in the underground mines on planet Yaelar half of the guards had left for the war, leaving a small number to keep the Hydif in line. A voice came over the intercom. 
“Fellow Hydif,” a voice said. “We have been locked down here for years, doing work for the Ydras. We are forced to help them in their economic pursuits and in their manufacturing and what do we get from it? Nothing but dead families and friends. We will not stand this injustice any longer. Now is the time to fight!” 
All throughout the cave systems there was silence. Then a roar began growing. It got louder and louder as more people joined in.  The rebellion had begun.

House Griffin sends dozens of ships from their ports, all going FTL towards the Fiisoss, their intentions to most people are unknown, and they are armed to the teeth, with weapons, and people. There is still a somewhat large population of armed ships and ground support, surrounding the planet.

As the Ancasian ship returning from Nexus finally landed on Karal, a solemn scattering of people greeted Emresse Marianla.

She stepped down, head bowed. Aurelia Evlyn Ancasia slowly walked up to Emresse Marianla.

Emresse Mariala looked up, apologetic.

"You are not to blame," Aurelia Evlyn said, coldly. Emresse Marianla thanked her and the Aurelia left the hangar with her guards.

Once Aurelia Evlyn was out of sight, Emresse Marianla's twin, Emresse Viol Ancasia, rushed to her. They embraced, and a few tears ran down Emresse Marianla's cheeks.

She quietly apologized to Xandin's wife, Ereso Yusra, and walked back home to her children with Ereso Siensa Brize.

This, however, was not a major loss. None of the heirs or Aurelias were compromised. They really had only lost one royal. One royal and a few officials and guards.

The House Ancasia focused on moving on to other critical matters.

Aurelia Natalya was scheduled to return with the heirs in a few days, and they were awaited expectantly.

Meanwhile, Aurelia Evlyn spent time at her desk receiving important transmissions from the previously launched ships.

There is an immense shipment of Axiom that has gone missing.

Axiom: The most efficient fuel for FTL, but also incredibly rare and therefore incredibly valuable. Even the most wealthy Houses will only have a few kilograms of it at any given time. It’s formed naturally in the hearts of the most chaotic and active neutron stars; Axiom Crystal is either mined from there or strenuously manufactured in incredibly advanced laboratories. Either way the process is dangerous and expensive.

This shipment is incredibly valuable, and was lost by the House Thlf’phhrmth many moons ago.
It was lost in the Tau cluster.
This is what the five large ships have been searching for all along.

Whoever finds the shipment will have access to incredibly valuable fuel resources.

The five ships have arrived in the Tau cluster and have been searching for quite a while.

The Ancasian radars are beginning to pick up signals every now and then. There are signs of the ship having passed through the area. But they have not seen it yet. Two ships were sent elsewhere, while the other three continued searching the Tau cluster. There are many traces of it being in the Tau cluster. It was where the ship was last seen. So, of course, the majority of the ships kept their base in the Tau cluster. And they are getting closer and closer to finding the missing shipment of Axiom.

The other two ships were sent to adjacent sectors outside of the Tau cluster.

This is because a spy had returned with information from House Thlf’phhrmth that a supernova overloaded the ship's navigational systems.
If the spy was telling the truth, the shipment could've been propelled into the very center of the Tau cluster.
Or, it could've sent it way outside.

The other two ships were instructed to search the adjacent sectors. If the radars picked up on anything more, then the other ships would be called over to those sectors and narrow down the search.

One of the two ships is traveling further and further from the Tau cluster. It is picking up more and more signals as it moves along.

The Ancasian ship's radar has gone off on multiple occasions.

They are approaching, and possibly getting much closer than they once thought, to the Axiom.

The mine blows up causing a huge explosion. This codes another mine ti blow up, and another. The entire frontline of the ships get flushed into the chaos.

Missiles fly into the mass of ships. They cause the new front line to be blown. Then there was a moment of stillness. The Fiisoss show had also been blown up. But as the Yldear observed they saw a machine float past their window. A bait. The soliders that the scanner picked up in the ships were bait.

The Ydras ships fell into chaos, their lines falling apart. The paranoid pilots shot at everything, missiles, mines, and even themselves. Eventually they reorganized themselves, and started planning, but not before at least 6 more ships had been destroyed. A half of their numbers were gone.

The explosions slowly came to a Halt as they were almost all blown up. And with the Ydras ships in chaos, a fleet from the planet rises up to meet them. They had been hiding in their secret huge underground caverns so that the life sensors wouldn’t sense them. They flew into the disarrayed army to scatter and drive them away from their home planet.

Also, a wave of misssles is getting very close to Ydras planet…

A few more organized ships launch of off Yaelar and begin shooting at the missiles, trying to detonate them before they reach the planet.

The Ydras ships slowly fall, until there is only one left. The pilot in it desperately turns around and begins flying away quickly.

On Yaelar many of the missiles have been destroyed but more keep coming. Eventually one makes it through. Then another.

The Hydif Rebels broke finally won their fight with the Ydras gaurds. They cheer as they enter the surface for the first time ever, squinting their eyes. Then they saw the missiles coming down on them.

“Surrender, and become a vassal to fiisoss. We offer you life.” All must swear alligence.”

King Adonis and the small number of warriors that had made it out look down at the destroyed planet as the speed off at FTL into space. "I will avenge her" King Adonis mutters, speaking of his wife who had been leading the charge on the building. The King was now only surrounded by six High Shezen and their fleet had been reduced to five ships. "Helder", the King ordered, "send a message to my son of Methar that we'll need to choose four new High Shezen." 

"And a new queen" Helder asks, "we will need to rerun the tournament."

The King only bows his head in agony and grief.

Hundreds of Hydif and Ydras alike run and board shuttles that are in the Yaelar spaceport. The shuttles launch and jump away from the planet in random directions, hoping to lose any Fiioss that may try to track them.

The traitor takes his own ship, and jumps away from the planet he was on. He arrives at his location soon after. 

Lord Yaelar was asleep, but awoke when he heard a THUD. He sat up quickly, and felt something cold on his neck. 
“If you move you die.” The traitor said. “You will transfer your authority of your house to me.” 

 

A transmission comes to all Ydras military ships. This is your new leader speaking. It said. Lord Yaelar has been bested. I demand that you all turn back. This war is over.

 

A response is sent to the Fiioss. This is the Ydras leader. The Ydras surrender. We will not, however, submit to your rule. Terms of our surrender can be agreed upon later. For now we request that all hostilities cease. We are sending Feyl Yaelar to you as we speak, for you to put on trial and punish as you see fit. We hope an agreement can be made.
