Munazir Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 I’m currently reading the well of ascension and I saw a review of HOA and they talked about the ending was incredible. I have had it spoiled for me accidentally. I know they Vin gets a Shard and something to do with intent and becomes a god of sorts ( don’t clarify this if I’ve made a mistake because then more of it will be spoiled). I just want to know if I’ve ruined the trilogy for myself
S. Stormy she/her Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 There is something to that? But the thing that's referring to is by no means the only thing about the ending that's incredible. And if it had been, I'd still recommend you read it! 3
Ati16 he/him Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 I agree with @Shallan Stormblessed. You spoiled a part of the book, but definitely not the whole book. The ending has got a lot more to it than that. I really recommend reading it. 1
cometaryorbit Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 Yeah, it's definitely still worth reading. There's way more to the ending. And it's a great book. (I had been partially spoiled on one part of HoA beforehand but it took me in a *completely wrong direction* in speculating so I was just as surprised as if I hadn't been.)
Tamriel Wolfsbaine Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 I am a sucker for spoilers (I still refuse to watch season 5 of Chuck because I think the end to season 4 gave me a much happier closing to the show than what I read happens at end of series). I had the entire magic system spoiled for me and that is the entire reason I got into the cosmere. I actually enjoy knowing where characters end up so I can enjoy watching the way they get there. But I am a different person in that regard to most. I loved the ending to HoA. Even knowing parts of it ahead of time I promise the way it all unfolds is fun enough to experience that knowing bits of the end won't ruin anything for you. The Avengers win. We all know they win. Its how they get there that is what makes watching them fun.
alder24 Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 Would you stop reading the book just because you spoiled yourself part of the next book? I would never do this, I would just keep reading with one question in my mind "How?". You can start making theories on how did this happen and what would be the ramifications of this, or just keep reading and focus on what is happening currently. There is a lot more to Mistborn than its ending, character arcs and their journey provides much more valuable reading experience, action unfolding and culminating, jokes and inner workings of this world and magic within it. So don't worry, you didn't ruin yourself anything, the amaizing journey and experience is still ahead of you.
