It was so gut wrenching, in fact, that I suddenly obtain a wrench. This wrench fixes my vision, granting me the ability to take the Sandwich and put on some sunglasses. I happily skip away with the Sandwich.

I also think I have misconstrued the Contest of Champions. 

Syl and Kaladin climb out of the perpendicularity at my feet. Syl flips her hair back, causing it to appear to lengthen. Kaladin does the same with his mullet. They then go back into the perpendicularity after trying and failing to get the Sandwich. Yasnah then climbs out, flips her hair and asks to study the sandwich.
